maybe this is the problem: Where would Michigan be if they had cut bait w Harbaugh after years 3 and 4 were still in building mode? We have to give this guy time.
He will get time. But he seriously needs to show some improvement next year. Anything close to as bad as this season means this guy probably just doesn’t have it. I don’t want to be in a Mike White situation where we keep accepting mediocrity or worse year after year with a guy who clearly can’t get his team to the next level.
Wow what a mature answer. Watching yesterday was just a cliff note of where we have issues. Sorry you don’t like objective criticism.
To be fair, looking back, Mullen did have 2 top 10 classes during his tenure. HOWEVER, these classes ended up being smoke and mirrors because a high percentage of players never played a down at UF. If you went back and reranked these classes they would be nowhere near the top 10. We flat out do not have top 10 level talent on the field. That is obvious to the level headed fans out there. We will not know about this class until at least 2 years from now. Last year’s class must be ignored because Billy only had a few weeks to put it together. We all want the Gators to be more successful but let’s face reality here.
One of the L’s was defending champ Miami in Tampa the first week. Great, great game. We started a 4th string walk on named Kerwin Bell.
Was this - by chance - your offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, or special teams coach? Asking for a friend.
Altho the SEC is more difficult, Michigan was 2-4 when the 2020 season was cancelled and they've made the playoffs the past 2 years. Billy's use of the portal will determine how quickly we rebound from this low. Building from the ground up (recruiting HS students) will take 2-3 years minimum after this year's exodus if we don't use the portal effectively.
as fans all we can do is sit back and support Napier. If it does go south Strickland is on the block as well. So far as an AD he has been less than stellar.
He has to do all of the above. He will be judged by his success or failure in acquiring the talent necessary to compete.
Not even close. Then again, we are way behind and have a lot of catching up to do. We also aren't playing the NIL game like some of the others. This will take several years.
