I watch 0 futbol ever but tuned into this match. I must say the skills of Messi and Mbappe were so evident that they radiated through even my ignorance. A thrilling athletic event.

So this is interesting in a daytime soap level of drama. Claudio Reyna, former USMNT captain and father of Gio Reyna, and his wife Danielle Reyna, Gio Reyna's mother and a former USWNT player under the name Danielle Egan, apparently sent something to US Soccer about a 30ish year old accusation of domestic violence with his now wife (who was Danielle's teammate (and some people have said roommate) at UNC). This is turning quite ugly from two families that have always been considered very close. Not sure how this bell can be unrung.
