First off for anyone offended by my posts it was ABSOLUTELY not intended as an insult. I was late in the broadcast so I honestly was not hearing Pat clowning you guys like an asshat or up to date on all the twitter action making fun of the field goal. I legitimately respect that record and the effort the players made on their last two drives to keep it intact. Its an insane record and literally every other team in the NCAA wishes they had skipped 420 something games without a shutout cause they suck so much. I thank you all for allowing me to come over here and talk about the teams on your boards. You were fantastic hosts and the passion for your team is palpable. Also this board is really well organized and impressive. All reports from the stadium is that your fans were really cool and had great x & o knowledge. Beavernation really appreciates the class you guys played with and attended the game with. This game was not a good matchup for you guys getting put up against a hot ranked team when you guys are in year 1 of a huge rebuild and getting gutted to make room for a bright future. I know this was just another bowl game for you guys but for us this is a historic result. Small note on rebuilds. I'm sure you heard more than enough of our story the last decade during the broad cast but at the very least I have some perspective. There are teams with losing records and their are losing teams. The way your guys played the whole game without giving up shows that you are NOT a losing team. They played hard and its obvious the coaching staff is enforcing a great culture that you guys have built for decades. I doubt you guys are down for long under Napier and anyone with eyes could see your team has talent and heart. Good lord your DB's hit like trucks too, really fast big scary trucks. No idea if we will ever match up in football again but I hope we get a chance. Best of luck in the future and I look forward to seeing you at the top of the SEC soon. Class program.
Thanks Beav. Yesterday I took one of your posts wrong and fired back - by the time I realized my error the game thread was locked (which it always is after the game is over). So thanks for posting here today. This is a real low point for our program so you’re catching us at our worst. Not used to watching our team play this bad - but 3 bad coaching hires over a 10 year span has done it to us and the dude we have now inherited a total rebuild project. We’ll be back but it’s gonna take time. You guys on the other hand are rolling. You have a very fast and disciplined defense that kept us from even getting close to scoring until the streak-saving FG at the end. I’ll be looking for y’all to stomp the Ducks and rough up the clowns in California. Hopefully we’ll get another chance to play down the road. Thanks for your contributions here the last several days.
Beav- You guys played one hell of a game. Very impressive. I didn't expect your defense to be that good. I was also was expecting more from our team. But, as Skink said, we're gonna need time. We've dug ourselves into a hole and it'll take a minute to shrug off a decade of sub par recruiting, coaching and play on the field. With that said, I still love our kids and new recruits and appreciate their efforts. You should have been matched up with a top ten team for a bowl game. Congrats on your win and stop in from time to time. We appreciate contributions from our respected rivals and you are now one of them. Be well. Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Holidays! Thank you for the post. It is better and more optimistic than many Gators fans have posted post game. As a life long Gators fan, I hate to say this, but you deserved a better bowl game and opponent. Good luck in the future, and I hope the Beavers have great success moving forward.

To be fair your clap back was on point. No way we win a national championship in football unless God, all the known Pantheons, Buddha, Allah and any other holy power that loves a Rodent kicks in some divinity. We might win in baseball before you get #4? Which would be #4 for baseball so maybe we can go same year for funsies! Maybe we can meet up in the CFP! That would be wild!
Damn - I was hoping I deleted it before you saw it No my Beaver buddy, my comments were not appropriate. I mean if someone is being a butthead then sure the gloves come off, but that wasn’t the case. For some reason I’m still trying to understand, I was in a foul mood yesterday afternoon. It got the best of me and I apologize for that. Congrats again on the bowl win and a 10-win season. A better match-up would have been LSU, honestly, but that wasn't in the cards. Regardless, the Bevs were for real and are worthy of respect and the long, slow road taken to respectability - and in this crazy environment we have now. Best of luck going forward. I'll keep an eye out for you guys.
Nuc, congrats on a big win and your team is fun to watch. You can tell your coach is very disciplined and knows what he is doing. Your execution was impressive. Also nice to see that “want to” from your program. Your Coach has an intensity that seems to have rubbed off on the players. Apologies if some of our fans were less than hospitable. You were classy from the start and the response from some of our fans in general was disappointing to say the least. Best of luck.
And thanks to the OSU fans in Vegas. Everyone I talked to at the game was friendly and obviously there to have a good time. I even had one lady thank me for coming "all the way to Vegas" to support my team. Another guy told me he was upset they couldn't get the shutout since we were starting our "12th string QB."
ha! Like any fan base we have our nice ladies and shit talkers. In general we're pretty hospitable and humble. Hard to have a lot of ego when most teams in our league can remind us of that, "awesome time we beat you 9 years in a row...twice".
The OSU fans I met were really nice. The only grief I got was at breakfast on Sunday from an NC State alum, whose husband, a UF grad, would not come out of their hotel room.
Really wish we had had a better showing. Wondering if UF will ever take bowl games seriously again! The level of opt outs and subsequent poor preparation is insane and really a disrespect to the boosters, fans and the University that funded your education and development as an athlete.
