Our starting QB next year...

The starting QB next year isn’t currently on the roster. If he is, we are in for our 3rd straight losing season.

 

Portal QB v Miller...and I think Miller wins out unless the portal QB is a complete stud.

Given the circumstances Miller didn't look terrible tonight. I like some of what I saw and can understand most of the rest.

Will need to see the all 22 to gauge whether there was anyone open.

I agree. I thought he looked really good at times going through his progressions and delivering accurate passes. I don’t know if he’ll get beaten out or not but he looks like he has some tools to build on.

 

We won’t win many games with Miller at the helm.

 

There was some to like and some to hate. He almost had 2 awful sideline picks, but like AR, he was running for his life on too many plays. But part of being a fan is hoping and believing he can improve between now and the beginning of next season.

 

I do not think a portal QB is worth the roster spot. Miller or Brown if Rashada is not ready.

 

Ridiculous. A transfer portal QB is exactly what we need for next year.

 

I don’t think any transfer QB can get us to compete for an SEC championship next year, but I think the winner of the Miller/Brown/Rashada battle could with a year under his belt heading into 2024.

 

Miller was not the problem today despite starting his first collegiate game ever. O line was awful, and not sure our WR helped Miller when it counted.

 

The problem is the coaches probably can’t afford a total write off year after going 6-7.

They need to persue the best available players period.

 

Miller will never be the guy based on what I saw of his OSU film and time here. We need a bridge QB to the future. Hopefully it is Pratt.

 

The O-line didn’t help him but he also didn’t do much good.

One of the worst overall offensive performances since Muschamp. Effectively nothing was working. Obviously there’s going to be a drop-off when you have several that hadn’t played much, but these are still scholarship players that have been practicing and guys theoretically expected to compete for starting roles next year.

This based on one game - his first game, in which we had zero running game and he spent most of that game running for his life? Give me a freaking break

 

Failed to stand out at Ohio State, failed to overtake Kitna as second stringer when healthy.

We can afford to take ONE transfer portal QB.

 

It’s not based on one game. It’s based on his film at OSU, and the fact he was passed up there. His spring performance here and that he was passed by Kitna and couldn’t retake it. Plus, there were plenty of flaws with his performance even ignoring all the other issues with our offense.

 

Only thing I’d quibble about is “afford.” It’s a necessity, IMO.

 

I know this won't be popular, but I am more disappointed with AR opting out than Millers performance
