Or... get McCall and let the freshman ease into the starting role the year after. McCall is the real deal and he is a QB that can change our football program's future for the better, much faster than a freshman can. He's a proven commodity with insane stats.

I think everyone recognizes we had major issues on D thanks to Mullen neglect, but with the portal you can plug holes immediately and some decent overall talent on offense (multiple 1st round picks, strong O-line and deep backfield) it’s hardly a “miracle” to end with the same record that got the last guy fired.

For whatever reason Napier didn’t do enough with the portal to help balance things on D, that was talent related but it’s also Napier’s responsibility to “fix” it via the portal. Either way, it’s hardly a “miracle” to finish with 6 wins. At the end of season 1 our offense is as hopeless looking as defense. Napier better have some serious portal and recruiting successes on BOTH sides of the ball and carry that into season 2. Probably better stay comfortably above .500 or there could be “noise in the system” already in year 2.

Well, we alledgedly had the 14th most talented roster this year. I admit these rankings arent great, but damn(!)... we underperformed this year in my opinion.

Just dissapointing Nape has answered quite a few questions before the season and in recruiting, but there is a lot of questions remaining.

I wanna see if he changes some staff...
