Focus on building the O and D line. Get Rashada as much playing time as possible, no red shirt. Then red shirt Lagway to create space.

 

Ok. So what QB available right now is going to work better for this team next year? More importantly which QB available right now is an obvious upgrade and wants to come play for a team that has no identity and is a complete rebuild.

I'd bet BN knows what to do here better than me so I'll just patiently watch him build his idea of UF football for a few years.

I don't usually just jump at the thought of giving up on the staff or players for a shot in the dark with a talent you didn't recruit who fizzled out elsewhere but that's just me. I'm mostly withholding judgement against a QB starting his first game with a depleted roster against the 14th ranked team.

Are you saying portal guys fizzled out elsewhere? Wasn't Joe Burrow a portal guy? He did alright.

No freaking way it goes down like that. If it does then we're missing out on the best QB in the portal for what?

Has one of those two aforementioned QBs done something at the college level QB play to make you so secure in saying that? I'd bet on the best sure thing to a our next great QB, and that's McCall.

I'll frankly be surprised if Miller can keep Rashada, or any of the better portal QBs that are hypothetically "available," on the bench much past the first few games next season. I got trashed for saying that exact same thing a few days ago, but I haven't seen anything today to change my mind. It just is what it is and what it is ain't good.

 

Ike Hilliard is available. He would be a fantastic hire in more ways than one. This makes too much sense so, it won’t happen.

 

Another poster said in the first few minutes of the game that the team had quit(I see that it was MODified"). This team on the field has not quit, but some players quit on this team before the game.

You do realize we have to put a QB on the field in 2023 right? Asking a true freshman QB to start in 2023 is an extremely tall order.

What exactly is the downside in getting a QB in the portal? You are making it seem like getting Grayson McCall means we won't be able to recruit a LB. That is unrelated.

The only person on the current or future roster that is influenced by a portal QB is Miller. That is the only person with any downside as it creates competition for the starting QB role that is effectively Millers by default due to AR going pro, Kitna being a pedo, and nothing else. Are you related to Miller by any chance?

 

This right here is our weak link right now.

If we had a bonefide playcaller/offensive coordinator, we'd be doing much better this entire season including today.
