I get it and its for sure debatable and probably the least of the qualities attributed to him, but I would say not as seriously as some who had less talent. Especially when he was away from the spotlight. Many didn't know the extent of his musical talent outside of his public brand. I think the performance with Petty, Lynne, Winwood and the others was a glimpse into that.

I’ve had an uncle and a close friend both die of heart attacks in the last three weeks. I guess this just reinforces those.
A classic WeAreBigGuys on Instagram: "Mike Leach’s breakdown of a PAC-12 mascot battle will always be one of my favorites… one of a kind RIP #wearebigguys #mikeleach #pac12 #pac12football #nfl #collegefootball #cfb #cfbplayoff #mascot"

My father died in his sleep, most likely of arrhythmia. He was an otherwise healthy 80 year old with cholesterol numbers his doctor said he'd kill to have. What happened to Coach Leach hits home for me. Leach was the the present day Spurrier. No wonder I was always a fan of his.
Not Spurrier. When Spurrier makes his journey through the uprights, noone will tribute him by saying he is like a 1990's Mike Leach. Someone had to say it. RIP to a good coach and colorful SEC character, and someone who defied the pundits who said that anyone picking up the "mess Mullen left behind" was doomed to fail.
I saw that, with how that ended kinda curious how he’d feel about this. Pretty sure I read the lawsuit over the money is still ongoing with on behalf of his estate
Mississippi State honors Mike Leach as Bulldogs play first home game since legendary coach's death I would imagine Leach & Buffett have been swapping pirate tales all weekend.
