The new fangled, politically correct name is Goliath Grouper. I guess it’s acceptable to insult the Philistines.

 

Surprised there’s no mention of Wahoo, Yellowfin, Pompano or Tripletail especially from the Pensacola crew on here. My two favorite offshore and inshore choices.

 

Does anything beat fresh Pompano in a brown bag????

Yep, those were always some pretty fish!

 

I never realized the nipple was that close. That's not a bad run. Down here the gulf stream is 8-10 miles out but we always end up running south to start. It still ends up a 20 mile run before lines out.
