I knew it would never happen, but I sure wanted them to pass the Fair Tax legislation in early 2000’s.

I like the sentiment but given the small percentage of players that make the NFL I could see the argument for taking the money in hand when you can get it. I doubt kids will manage the money efficiently but even a lump 100 to 200k can position someone with a major head start in life.

I believe Samson was signing an NIL with Kodiak, so there is something a little deeper to it and Ruiz' statement that he will eat pancakes. Not that Ruiz isn't a tool and classless and that this Kodiak carrier is not one also.

Probably because he explicitly stated that NIL was a top priority.

Any reason he still couldn’t sign a Kodiak deal, even if he picked UF? Is Kodiak tied to one university?

Yes, but Kodiak will just be one of his NIL. I'm sure Ruiz will cook up something else also.

My understanding is that the Kodiak deal was independent of where he ends up signing “cough” Miami.

Does anybody have the tweet from yesterday of OSU all up in their feelings about not being able to come up with the 2.8 million that Georgia was able to come up with to get the rush end? They only offered like $750k.

I hope Georgia is overpaying, believing that DL Jordan Hall is ours.

Yes, Samson signed a deal with Kodiak. Not sure if UM is involved in that deal.

Yeah I'm not sure why people think the bag man went away. Nothing to stop the usual suspects to throw cash or an extra NIL on top of any other deals.

It seems so, but if it seems if it were the only factor, he also wouldn’t be limiting himself just to Miami and Florida.

But they get 50 million a year to play. It’s not something that changes the landscape of the NFL

There’s really no reason to go under the table. Everybody that has money has a business of some sort.

Ok. Then the universities should allow the players to unionize, and negotiate a collective bargaining agreement to pay the players so there will be a semblance of parity amongst the schools.

Then the players can decide where to go based on which collective will give them the most NIL. Wait..... LOL

He posted this today. Obviously UF marketing made it for him and he posted it ....but it's still great publicity.
