Ah, this was the problem with AR--poor mental game and explains why he never turned the corner. This is the knock I have on Graham Mertz--too many interceptions indicate the mental aspect is not enough.

An accurate QB would have kept that defense off the field a lot more.

McCall is intriguing. If Pratt enters as expected he would be my top guy. The third look for me would be Hartman if he enters

That's not how good coaches handle it......they guarantee a legit shot at competing for the position, and show the kid how he would fit into the system. A smart kid runs from a coach that promises a position, cause he would probably be making the same promise to everyone

That’s what any good qb does. Anything on top of that is greatness. If he can’t do the simple stuff though, I don’t want him.

I haven’t watch but Farvre threw all those int because he always took too many chances. He tried to throw every receiver open. A interception from behind trying to win the game isn’t an issue( not through the goal posts) but throwing them early and putting yourself behind is different . All interceptions aren’t the same, some risk is ok at times.

Unless he kept throwing our world famous wide receiver screens for minus two yards...Im hoping BN rips that play out of our playbook and throws it in the trash can. You dont need an analytics staff of 150 to see it doesn't work ever and puts you in a bad position for the remaining downs.

I think you are saying that sometimes it is ego that prompts a quarterback, like Favre, to try and thread the needle. Of course, you will agree, AR isn't Favre! His qb completion average was pathetic. Grayson McCall has a 70% quarterback completion percentage.

Yep, there’s a fine line and an intelligence about when to take risks and when to be more conservative

Wake up and smell the coffee, fellas? Grayson McCall has a lifetime qb percentage completion rate of over 70%. Somebody's going to have an awesome Xmas present. Some think Freeze at Auburn is in the driver's seat. We shall see. Go Gators!!!

He’s just a one year rental on a team that does not expect to be in the playoffs anyway for us. If we’re talking a bunch of money it’s probably better spent on somebody that will be here 2 to 3 years from now and contribute.

Unless you believe Jack Miller is the answer, then you probably only want a 1 year QB. Any longer than that and Rashada/Langway transfer. They are not committing to sit the pine.

I’m so impressed with Rashada, at this point, that I’m pretty sanguine, about 2023, regardless any QB we might get through the portal.

Which is why I said one year rental. He has two but we don’t need two
