There must be more than 1 USF tournament. Tenn 2023 softball schedule has Tenn playing 5 games around Feb 24 in a USF tournament.
The Mary Nutter Classic is February 23-26, with the Gators playing Cal. St. Fullerton & UCLA on Thursday the 23rd in back-to-back games starting at 5 pm. They play UC Riverside Friday at 1 pm and then Oregon Saturday at 10 am. I know that USF is hosting a tournament during that same period, but there are other tournaments starting February 10 and February 16 around the country. The TaxAct tournament in Clearwater is 2/16-19, has 16 teams and will be televised by ESPN. Florida nor Tennessee are part of that field. But Tennessee is playing in some kind of tournament in Clearwater 2/10 - 2/12. So far I can't find who or where the Gators will be playing those earlier 2 weekends. It is odd that all that is posted so far about Florida's schedule are their SEC games.
Not solid right now, so I would wait on that. I have an email to my source, but so far have not heard.
I know there have been many questions about the softball schedule. Tennessee's schedule has been reported as being problematic on February 10-12. They will be at the NFCA Tournament during those days. They will be at USF for a tournament on February 24-26th. I know it is odd that USF would have two tournaments, but that is the way it is. Below is the February schedule, which is solid. PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. IF DONE, THAT WILL BE THE LAST I WILL POST THIS TYPE OF INFO. THANKS. Date Team. Time. Place 02/10/23. Great info. 10 of the first 11 games are total cakewalks. Scrappy could pitch and they would run rule most of those teams. I don't care. I get to watch real amateur athletes compete that love being Gators and not in it for the money. Refreshing.
I didn't know how to rate your post from agree to like to funny. I like the way it is set up. Even though the ladies compete against each other every day, it is different when you play other teams. So, I am glad we have those early games to shake out the wrinkles and find that right starting line-up. Go Gators!
Gators play 29 nonconference games of which 10 are quality opponents. Only 63 days until the fun begins. Looking forward to it.
The rumors are true, and we are getting a new scoreboard. They have torn down the old one as well as the pillars. They had one metal pillar up yesterday. I will post pics later today. Thanks to @sandman70 for the photo.
Good decision. It gives them a larger area in which to celebrate the several SEC Championships and WCWS titles these incredibly talented ladies are going to win in the next five years.
We'll be going to the Nutter classic this year, will be good to see the Gators against quality competition, and spend a few days in Palm Springs from Colorado winter.

That's one of the positives of following softball versus other sports (cough, cough.....football). Softball players stay until graduation and get a degree from a top five university that you know will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
The schedules on all sports including softball is on the UF official sports website...just looked up the schedule...
