You don't even know what all the other states did to mitigate the impact of the virus. You're simply regurgitating this inane trope for the sake of attention. And now that I've given that which you apparently so desperately seek, you're welcome.

He was more successful than almost every other leader in behaving as though there was no pandemic.

Can't remember if it was confirmed but I believe so. If not has the same tendencies. Pseudo-intellectual and arrogantly ignorant contrarian that is only interested in confirming his own bias and subsequently latches onto any and every piece of agreeable information with a preference towards the least credible sources possible?

It makes sense. You've gone well further off the deep end though. Please stop junking up threads with total nonsense. And I would encourage other posters to stop replying to DD. He's only seeking attention. I won't respond again.

Yeah that's him. But he's gone even crazier. I don't know why people keep responding to his nonsense.

Thanks for the data. When I look at the NAEP data from the source itself, I get a different story from the actual data.

Data from here (you will have to select grade levels and subjects to get all the data):NAEP State Profiles

Google sheet of everything sorted and organized in one place:

Looking at each subject and grade, and looking at the change from 2019 to 2022, here is how Florida did:
4th grade Math- we were 25th in the nation in average score change from 2019 to 2022. We lost 5 points on our average score, we were right at the national average. We were 33rd in the nation in percent proficient change from 2019 to 2022. We lost 7 points from 2019 to 2022, the national average was losing 5 points.

8th grade Math- we were 27th in the nation in average score change from 2019 to 2022. We lost 8 points on our average score, we were right at the national average. We were 29th in the nation in percent proficient change from 2019 to 2022. We lost 8 points from 2019 to 2022, the national average was losing 7 points.

We did a lot better in reading.

4th grade Reading- we were 7th in the nation in average score change from 2019 to 2022. We maintained our average score, we were right at the national average. We were tied for 2nd in the nation in percent proficient change from 2019 to 2022, Only Louisiana did better than us. We gained 1 point from 2019 to 2022, the national average was losing 2 points.

8th grade Reading- we were 19th in the nation in average score change from 2019 to 2022. We lost 3 points on our average score, we were right at the national average. We were 32nd in the nation in percent proficient change from 2019 to 2022. We lost 5 points from 2019 to 2022, the national average was losing 3 points.

That data doesn’t quite lend itself to the narrative that FL fared much better academically.

One. I just went to see my doctor Monday. He stopped pushing it back in late September if 2021. I will say he was on the early side for that. But in that visit I had to bring the discussion up. And as I have mentioned before. At the time he said he only had faith in Moderna. And he did say he would recommend it but it was not convincing at all. And now I am positive he would not recommend a young healthy male take Moderna. One that has since had Covid and presumably one of the omicron versions. But this week. No need to even discuss it. And no reason for me to ask about it. We have moved on.

Two. The rate at which people are taking the shots. The bivalent booster and kids rate of taking these shots has plummeted. Part of that is people have heard the idiot public health officials cry wolf too many times. But also the doctors they see are not pushing it. It is common sense. Maybe the power of reality outweighs doctors telling their patients they need to take these shots. But I am confident that it is a combination of both and only a few doctors are stressing the need to take these archaic shots. Most doctors understand seroprevalence makes them unnecessary for of their patients. Most doctors know that they are treating each patient individually. It is unfortunate that fools like fauci, many at the cdc and in public health decided to throw their Hippocratic oath in the garbage.

Here is a good video from a progressive doctor who has a passion for evidence based medicine. He touches on 6 big topics from Covid…

Obviously he was going to focus on the positives.

Shutting down schools was the worst public health policy decision of our lifetimes. In the video I just posted. Prasad will provide data and evidence for it if you really think keeping the most vulnerable out of school was good policy. Schools was the 5th topic if you would like to find where he starts in that subject…

Well, we know that Minnesota convinced you and others like yourself to live in fear and stay in their basement for a year.

It doesn't matter to these folks how many experts you provide, they falsely and ignorantly will classify them as quacks instead of admitting they drank the Kool-Aid.

I was at the gym a couple of days ago and one of the couples I talk to believe in these jabs and he just got his 3rd on Friday and has been extremely sick since then and still hasn't been able to go back to work his wife said.

We don't know all the details, but we do know that Florida was one of 13 states to mandate in person education going into the 20-21 school year. The average changes for those states were about half a point worse than Florida in Math scores, and about a point worse than Florida in Reading scores. Not convincing evidence that going back to school in person led to an improvement over what other states were doing.

Read a great line from the book…Beat the Heart Attack Gene. Discussing how we continue to train our doctors to treat symptoms and not be detectives of diagnosis. Discussing this with my wife this morning she made comment that gets to why she is so good at what she does. Had an orthodontist call and ask about a situation with a patient and enamel. Instead of the send them over and we will bond it…my wife was more concerned with trying to find the why is this situation happening.

So many lives could be saved if people were educated and we shifted how we approach outdated things in medicine.

But the fascism in Medicine (big pharma/big provider/big insurance) prefer the treat the symptom approach.

And we just witnessed a version of that on a scale never seen with the awful covid shot rollout. We went with the everyone has a symptom and must be treated approach. Literally terrible Medicine. And to this day are pushing the same approach. So frustrating to watch people ignorantly just follow the herd. Well a lot fewer are following these days. But so many were led astray by people who knew better for far too long.

Our healthcare system is broken. Something both sides agree on. Sadly some won’t listen to me just because I am honest about the situation. I have never claimed to know everything. At the same time I am quite convicted about my positions. More and more as time has gone by. But always open to be convinced otherwise.
