Not many decent transfers will come in without a virtual starting job. Even someone like Emory is going to want an easy path

 

Why couldn't he start here? Jack Miller has done nothing that would indicate he'd have the inside track.

McCall would totally transform the Gator offense next season. With his arm, the Gators will become a much more potent passing offense regardless of who’s catching the ball for him. Being able to balance out the strong running game of Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne with a viable passing offense will make the Gators much more lethal on that side of the ball.

 

But would he be sloughed off as such ?

 

Nobody’s going to guarantee the spot unless they are lying. You still got to beat out whoever’s on the roster.
