From a TV perspective, the cock block was the loudest. You couldn't hear the announcers over the crowd noise.

 

I didn’t get to see any in the 90’s but that and lsu a couple years ago were steady loud from start to finish

The Swamp seemed much louder in the 80s and 90s...then picked back up when Meyer was here

 

Bama game last year got steady rowdy toward the end when we had them on the ropes. Time ran out and they were glad it did.

 

Maybe it's because my seats were so close to the field but I could feel my ear drums pulsate when Dwayne Thomas intercepted busbys last pass to seal the win in 97. All I could hear was white noise and my friend sitting next to me was yelling in my ear but I couldn't hear him. He was telling me the two fsu douchebags that were talking trash since before the game started were trying to leave. He had to grab my head and turn it while pointing to them. We exchanged some hand signals before they left....

 

Fortunate to have been there for most everything mentioned here. TV can never match being there. Loudest moment is splitting hairs. To me, the loudest, most intense entire game was ‘91 f$u. I believe SOS said it was the most electric atmosphere he had ever seen.

 

91 when Casey Weldon’s pass fell incomplete in the end zone. Also right before Warrick Dunn’s screen pass for a touchdown in 93. The LB who made the pick against UGA in the Swamp for a TD. Can’t remember his name. Aubs a couple of years ago too with Bo’s INT in the end zone and also Perine’s 90 yard TD run. That place was nuts. Ole Miss under McElwaine looked pretty sporty too but I was not there.

Cock Block was single loudest moment for me. I have been at the Swamp for almost all of the moments mentioned above and for me. It wasnt prolonged like some of the other games but it was ear shattering.

 

93 FSU just before Warrick Dunn caught that screen pass and ran for a TD.
I remember actually getting vertigo at that time sitting in the stands.
Had to have been the largest change in sound levels ever in the swamp when he broke free!

 

I so happy, I was crying lol...I remember that game like it was yesterday...

 

Just because...

Florida vs. Auburn 1986, when Kerwin Bell (who was injured and slower than cold molasses) ran for the two point conversion, that stadium was loud. I taped the game and you could see the camera shake as he ran into the end zone.

This was especially noteworthy as there were a lot of Tiger fans there and the Gators who were there really lit it up!

 

What’s great is that we have so many answers to the question. Has Webb seen this?

No doubt. I had attended Gator games since the '60's, and the cock block was insane. I was there with a friend who had never been to a gator game, and she was shocked. Said she thought her eardrums were going to rupture.
