Morocco was clearly the better team today. Faster, more aggressive… they will give France a run for their money. ( yes, I am assuming France beats England)

I agree that they looked faster and more active the whole game.

I had no intention of watching this entire game. The next one is what I’m more Interested in.
    but I watched every minute.

Kid is still really young, but better get his head on straight. We have good depth at winger coming through the system. Not a position that you can walk into the field going forward.

I would prefer the Golden Goal or as they call in the NFL sudden death with the win going to the team that scores first maybe after the two extra time periods.

Didnt the NFL get rid of sudden death after that Bills/Chiefs game? Its not really sudden death if the other team gets a chance to score.

Under the current rules each team gets at least one possession before the game goes into true sudden death. The team that wins the toss can only win on its first possession if it scores a TD. The original rule was changed around 10 years ago because the team that won the toss would end up winning the game usually on a field goal over 60% of the time.

That's not true anymore though. The other team gets a possession now to attempt to score. Like I said, it changed after that Chiefs/Bills playoff game.

Penalty Kicks are a terrible way to decide games. Maybe we go with which country has less human rights violations gets the win?

I think you're confusing the lead changes in the final two minutes of the game with the overtime.
The game had four lead changes and 25 points scored in the final two minutes of regulation, the second-most among games in the Super Bowl era.[8][9][6][10] After scoring on their opening drive, the Bills did not regain the lead until the fourth quarter when Allen threw a go-ahead touchdown pass with under two minutes remaining. Mahomes responded with a 64-yard touchdown pass to regain the lead with less than a minute remaining, but Buffalo's next possession ended in another touchdown pass from Allen. With 13 seconds left, Mahomes led the Chiefs on a 44-yard drive, which set up a game-tying field goal to force overtime. The Chiefs received the overtime kickoff after winning the coin toss and scored a touchdown to secure the victory.[11][12] Despite the loss, Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis set the NFL playoff game record for receiving touchdowns at four.[13]

Note: The rules for playoff games are somewhat different than the rule for regular season games with the latter ending in a tie if no team has a winning score after a single 10-minute overtime period. In playoff games the game is played until one team wins.

Funny and dark, but over what period? Can’t imagine any European nation winning.

Agree, it’s sad to see someone with such talent loaf around the pitch.

We do a weighted 100 year scale. Violations in 2022 count as 100pts. Violations in 1923 count as 1 pt. Someone put me in charge of something :)

Goal of the tournament? Poor defense by Croatia but what a run by Alvarez!

This is fascinating to a point as Reyna is at the peak. Very few are good enough to get to this level he is at. It has to be extremely frustrating for the coaches to have a player this good choose not to give effort. Watched a great 2 minute video from Houston Christian Baseball Coach Tyler Bremer about what coaches are looking for. And there are two things that coaches absolutely look for in particular as they are things the player CAN CONTROL...

    Attitude and Effort!

I have always tried to hit home the message of controlling what you can control to the kids I have been blessed to coach. And this was a solid add on for me going forward. Wish I could find it in a shareable way but it was shared on FB and can't find it on youtube.
