Love your gif there. I was fishing off Bolivar Peninsula in Texas years back - wading in chest deep water casting for speckled trout. I had a stringer with like 3 fish on it tied to my belt. Suddenly there’s a giant splash and a hard tug at my waist - I reached down and there’s 3 fish heads on the stringer. I freaking walked on water getting the hell out of there!
26 miles to the nipple and we slow pitch a bit but usually have live bait. It’s fun though. Cap wants lead and live bait and get up and down quick.
My buddy insisted on eating Jack verbally 25 years ago. He’s from San Diego, it’s tasted like shot and he concurred.
I’ve had gators and moccasins do that to me. Many many years ago I was wading a creek in Ellington (before the malls and outlets) … felt a tug and looked back. 2 foot water moccasin was chowing down on the last fish on my stronger… he got the whole thing. Had a 3 foot gator grab a stringer as well… we didn’t argue over it.
In freshwater, that shit just is not happening Saltwater, sharks don’t freak me out nearly as bad but I don’t mess around with snakes and alligators
Jeez Leweeeze, this thread went sideways. I eat a can of sardines every other day for omega health …does that count? …and I like shrimp.
I had pan seared crab cakes yesterday in Melbourne Beach, wife had blackened scallops. Both were fabulous. New England Seafood Eatery. Additionally enjoyed an order of conch fritters, yum
