Well since she was a 1 year old in 1989, I’d say she must have been a bit precocious.

No doubt. The 1st Birmingham Bowl was in 2006, when it was actually the Papa John's Bowl (through 2010).

The Gators only played in that bowl once, in 2015. That's Adam Lane with Laura Rutledge, who would have been 27 in that picture. Adam Lane was the MVP, and DJ Durkin was the interim coach after Muschamp got canned. We beat the East Carolina Pirates 28-20.

The main goal will be to shut down our run game, pressure Miller and force us to win with his arm.

Establishing a run game will be key. Hoping they can put together a handful of easy bread and butter plays for Miller to capitalize on. Hopefully they under estimate and sell out so Miller can take a shot or two if he has the confidence.

I think you might be surprised on how many of our players have children.

Agree completely as we will have to set him up w some confidence builders. They don’t have a guy that can cover Ricky Piersall so I expect a lot of zone which in turn will allow him to sit down and catch seven or eight balls hopefully.
I see the key to the game as us going BEAR front to stop their run. We don’t do that and no chance to win.

Hoping Billy wins it. Ball control huge. Praying we don’t try to go fast. Take time w new qB, avoid penalties and eat clock. Going quick makes no sense in this game.
A 28-24 win sounds real nice. They go over 27-28 and we lose.

Wright will be out but Austin and Cooper are very capable corners. Safties are solid with Grant, Thomas and Oladepo. You can definitely dink and dunk on us cause we tend to play with a cushion tell the RedZone but the secondary is capable and most of them have 3 or 4 years of game experience.

Well, we sure didn't do well going up tempo this year. I mean honestly the passing game with Miller is an unknown but if we can keep things simple and pound the rock we should be good. Billy will have to get better at clock management if he wants to go tempo.

Haha, that would at least give us a chance. I can see you all going on a 16 play 89 yard drive and eating 8 minutes off clock and you’d hear Gator fans saying at least we didn’t give up a big play.

We were born in that fray. One of our legendary coaches wrote, "Power T Football". Like literally wrote the book.

Should be a fun game. If you guys want to do some homework look up highlights and the story for Jack Colletto. The most lovable animal in today's game.

Great info, thanks. If you all play zone we probably stand a better chance. Guessing zone and keep everything in front?

Depends on the team. It's typically a cover 2 base but the corners just play 4-6 yard cushion. It's to avoid big plays and to give the dbs angles for the outside run defense.

Part of the scheme is just scheming around talent since we pull a 4 star every 7 years or so. Defense is designed to be simple reads with plenty of redundancy so guys can play fast.

DB is probably our most complete unit. I would say Oline but their pass blocking is mid range.
