This is the organization Desantis pulled Ladapo from. Seems legitimate and not politically motivated at all. I’m just shocked he didn’t pick Stella Immanuel instead.
It's the MAGA school of government official appointments. Pick the biggest quack who supports your ideology. No actual competence or expertise required.
If the buffalo-horned Jan 6 crazy was at the helm, in March 2020, far fewer would have died. I’ll be here all week!
That must be the “science” Ladapo had followed that Q is so impressed with. The guy is an idiot, and considering the sham organization he came from, only a simpleton would think he has any qualifications at all to lead this state in a health crisis.
FL probably would have been better off with NC’s wide-eyed much loved “Dr. Mandy.” She came on the TV every day, prepared to scold us depending on whether we were Green, Yellow or Red.
You clearly have never listened to Dr. Lapado and instead formed an ignorant opinion based on opinions by people who also have never listened to him. But you keep thinking we should be jabbing kids and really adults at this point with these shots. Keep believing masks work. Your tunnel vision belief in science is actually the definition of how powerful propaganda is…
Ladapo unmasked: Why his former boss didn't think he deserved to be Fla. surgeon general Wednesday, April 20th 2022 "TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS12) — We're seeing for the first time a background check performed on Florida's controversial surgeon general, earlier this year. It includes what his former supervisor had to say, which was that Florida should not hire him. "The Florida Senate asked for the background check before confirming Dr. Joseph Abiodun Ladapo as the state surgeon general and secretary of the Department of Health. Per Florida’s Public Records Law, CBS12’s sister-station WGFL in Gainesville simply asked and received it, two weeks later. ... [ Dr Carol Mangione, Dr Ladapo's supervisor answers questions about him] ... Question: “Would you recommend the applicant for employment as a surgeon general of Florida and confidence in his ability, honesty and integrity to perform related duties?” Answer: “No. In my opinion the people of Florida would be better served by a surgeon general who grounds his policy decisions and recommendations in the best scientific evidence rather than opinions.” Then, there was a vague prompt called “personal relations (rapport with co-workers, supervisor)." The complete response: “I cannot answer... because Dr. Ladapo’s opinions, published in a number of popular media outlets, were contrary to the best scientific evidence available about the Covid-19 pandemic and caused concern among a large number of his research and clinical colleagues and subordinates who felt that his opinions violated the Hippocratic Oath that physicians do no harm. This situation created stress and acrimony among his co-workers and supervisors during the last year and a half of his employment. It is important to note that during this time at UCLA, he met all of the contractual obligations for the position that he was hired to perform, which is the underpinning of my otherwise satisfactory evaluation.” _______________________________ The article contains further pertinent information on Dr Ladapo.
I’d love to say that we will get a retort here soon with research proving otherwise, but we know we won’t because such research doesn’t exist. Having an opinion that differs from the rest of the science community without any actual evidence or facts does not make Ladapo some secret genius, it just makes him a clown and makes Desantis’ decision to hire him all the more obvious that it was purely a political ploy.
The alleged strike against Lapado: “No. In my opinion the people of Florida would be better served by a surgeon general who grounds his policy decisions and recommendations in the best scientificevidence rather than opinions.” And this is precisely why he was the right pick as “scientific evidence” amounted to nothing more than a bludgeon to me used against any of note who took issue with NPI’s which had become political orthodoxy. DeSantis (and his picks) was the embodiment of emerging sanity in a world of madness.
If BIG GOV Ron wasn’t BIG GOV, he’d dissolve the laughably dumb BIG GOV position of whatever this BIG GOV clown’s position is. edit. Surgeon general. Yeah each state needs 1 of those to go along with their election integrity police forces
I would love to hear Lapado talk about increasing non COVID child vaccination rates. Has he spoken about lowering our high HIV ranking?
I grant that. I believe Lapado is right and wrong. Right about lockdowns, masks and vaccine mandates. Wrong in that his belief in viruses, which his foundational to his profession, only seeds the possibility of the overreach that he opposes.
Funny how quickly Dr. Mangione flipped. No way politics had anything to do with it. She is a sad example of what is wrong with Medicine. Dr. Ladapo has actually handled her ridiculous statements quite well. Dr. Carol Mangione and her letter of recommendation that Dr. Ladapo receive a tenured position at The University of Florida School of Medicine… “September 12, 2021 Dear Selection Committee, I am pleased to provide enthusiastic support for D.r Joseph .A Ladapo's application to the University of Florida School of Medicine as a tenured professor of medicine. Dr. Ladapo has been far more right on Covid than Dr. Mangione. But she showed she is either more concerned with politics or a bad doctor practicing with tunnel vision.

First you have to regain trust. And to do that you need to not recommend children take a covid shot they do not need. Thankfully Dr. Ladapo is doing that. It is going to be an uphill battle as we still have idiots at the CDC and in public health still trying to push these shots on Children.
