Colorado Buffaloes name Deion Sanders as head coach

Depends on what part of Florida. I’ve got a place in Ft. White, and it is most definitely in the South. I might add, I love it there.

 

Didn’t seem like he wanted to be there as he interviewed for the Cincy job.

 

Prime must have some consultants working with him, identifying kent state coach so quickly is strange to me for some odd reason.

 

Hell of a lot easier to recruit your son, dont ya think.

As to the "fooling yourself", dont really care either way, but time will tell if Prime is a good HC or just a good recruiter. Most people would say that there is a difference. Big difference between coaching at little Jackson st and the Pac 12.

 

Absolutely. We see it all the time with those who win at G5 and move to P5. He still did a great job at Jackson State though.

He hasn’t coached a single game as a power 5 coach yet. The NFL is a distant dream right now, especially for a coach who isn’t an X and O coach.

 

I heard that quite a bit from folks from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, etc.

 

Of course. That just reflects their strong dislike for UF in this conference.

So looks like recruits are paying attention to Deion becoming head coach at Colorado and making moves to go there. This is exactly why U was glad he did not get an offer in Tallahassee. Now if Norvell stumbles in the next few years and if Deion is successful at Colorado it will pave the road to go back to his Alma Mater.

On paper it looks good, he’s assembling a good staff, and will attract a lot of recruits to play at a school they would never have looked at. I don’t see a lot of 5 stars going there. But if Deion is successful, IF he can really coach, it will something to watch and pay attention to.

 

I wish Tebow had a passion for coaching.

Deion has swag, and lots of pull....I'll give him that. Let's all admit that whether you hate him or love him....you're sure as hell going to be watching him next year.

 

I doubt very seriously I will watch any more Colorado games then I watched this year, which was zero.

 

I’m not saying watching full games. But don’t tell me you won’t be looking out for highlights on whether he’s failing or succeeding.

 

I may randomly see some highlights, but will not be going out of my way to look for them, just like I didn’t at his last stop.

 

Heard some bad stuff about him… last game, charter jet was waiting so he left. Didn’t do post game
