Based on the tenor of this conversation my views on the Bible would just provide you the occasion to spin off into multiple diversions. But suffice it to say that I believe in the supernatural. But I doubt that demons make us sick.
So logically, that means you could be wrong about demonology too, which would mean your comparison of that with virology would be called into question, which is the thing you say you are most sure about apparently. Your brain is truly special.
I dont know, are you just going to make another edgy or provocative comparison which falls apart under the lightest of scrutiny?
Or we could just talk about non-existent viruses. j/k no we can’t. I’d just be uploading references and you’d just be attacking the source. You’d likely never accept anything less than a refutation of virology from a virologist. And then you’d go scrambling on google to find out if he was a wife-beater or something.
Oh well since you see all the angles there, I guess I will stick to making fun of the stuff you post then
The jury is still out on which was worse, “Spanish Flu” or “Covid” in terms of excess deaths. I think 1918-19 saw a ready return to baseline. But excess deaths remain distressingly high as of 2022.
GBS and Polio are two completely different things, with different symptoms and different causes. Guillain-Barre Syndrome is a non-contagious disorder where the immune system starts attacking the nerves across the entire body. We don't know the exact cause yet, but it mostly appears to be triggered by the body fighting off other infections. It mostly affects old people. Polio is a disease caused by a contagious virus and mostly has flu-like symptoms, with a small proportion of patients experiencing paralysis. It mainly attacks the brain stem and spinal cord. It is most deadly for young people.
The vulnerable groups in England dying from Covid are almost 100% vaccinated now. They stopped giving the data after a couple months were over 90% of deaths were fully vaccinated. Seroprevalence from natural infection has for more to do with the decline in deaths. The shots helped a few in the very early days. The evil/sick thing is we are still pushing these shots to this day knowing seroprevalence and difference in variant make it unnecessary. But “the fauc” against all principles of medicine says to this day to give the shot to everyone regardless of circumstance. The antithesis of medicine. He is the worst. Literally a terrible doctor who has caused generational damage. And the infuriating thing is he knew better!
The Covid vaccines did exactly that. They greatly reduced the likelihood that people who got Covid would become seriously ill, be hospitalized and die. Thus they prolonged the lives of thousands of vaccinated people who would have otherwise died due to Covid. You yourself provided the following . . . "The average COVID death lost 11.7 y of expected remaining life (https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2006392117) . . . " Were the vaccines 100% effective? Of course not. They never are. But they made a huge difference in prolonging the lives of thousands of people, who otherwise would have died, by an average of 11.7 years.
