Your question, much like the incoherent rants you've blessed this board with, makes absolutely no sense. I literally wrote "I don't think anyone is suggesting that BG is more important than the person you've brought into the conversation."
So if you can point to the statement I made suggesting that BG is somehow more important than you, me or some average American, I might be compelled to respond to your question.

But an almost impossible to detect felony. That is why I call it a grey market. It isn't technically a legal market, but the complete lack of regulation around it has resulted in a complete lack of enforcement. For example, nobody searches the cars going south for guns. Nobody checks to see if somebody with tons of gun purchases is actually in possession of any of those guns. It is a very "safe" version of crime. And much of that is because it is profitable and we don't seem to care about the carnage occurring because of our lax gun markets.

Honestly, I couldn't be happier if we suddenly treated weapons trafficking (and make no mistake, his primary business was in guns) as a crime with serious consequences and a likelihood of being caught. Heck, if we could lock up our own gun runners for 10-15 years (like he served), I'd be very pleased. But we aren't. How much additional value is there in locking him up for another few years before he got out and was deported back to Russia anyways? How many fewer guns or missiles or anything else would find their ways into war zones? Wagner took over his Russian business (and improved it). Our own gun runners helped fill the gap in the market. Until we really get serious about either of those things, I have no clue why you think keeping him in prison is super important.

You're still WAY off. Less than 1g of concentrate is in no way equivalent to more than half an ounce of weed. Do you even know how much half an ounce is? Let me put it this way . . . with half an ounce of flower we could get everybody on this thread high throughout a weekend bender pool party with chicks and have a little bit of shake left over. OTOH, less than 1g of oil concentrate would make it through half the crowd maybe 1x and we would be arguing about who bogarted the vape.

Nobody should go there. Anyone who travels there is a target anyway. And has been for a long time. I recommend Bill Browder’s book Red Notice.

Yep. No chance in hell I would step inside of the Russian border ever. Even if Vlad Putin sent me a DM on Twitter and invited me over with a first-class ticket, nicest hotel in Moscow, prosties that like the color golden, I would tell him “f no.” There is not enough money in the world. As an American, I will never set foot in that country. Never.

The MBS immunity decision was legally a no brainer.

You are correct. 1 gram of oil would equate to appx .9 g of thc vs 17g of bud equating to appx 2 - 3 g of thc depending on strength. Irrelevant to the fact that Fogel was left behind when his life is in much more jeopardy and he has been there longer.

Keep telling yourself that. You know nothing of me but apparently you know everything. There was little to no political benefit to bring Fogel home and lot of political benefit to bring Griner home. That is why she is home and he isn't. That is a fairly straightforward, reasonable assumption. Since you are omnipotent and can read my character and biases so well, why don't you tell me why she is home and the 60 year old english teacher isn't. You have nothing so you deflect

Do you really think the Biden admin didn’t try everything in their power to bring Fogel home?? That’s a win for Biden if he could pull it off. He had all the motivation in the world to make a better deal. Griner is all Putin would agree to.

So we’ve established that you will make irrelevant fallacious statements in the course of making an argument even when it’s pointed out to you multiple times.

Why should anyone take you seriously?

You got me, I didn't research THC content of vape oil or verify quantity of cartridges she had prior to posting. I then owned my mistake and never should have mentioned it because it is irrelevant to the discussion as neither are large quantities.

Why was she brought home and Fogel left behind?

More disingenuous arguments. There’s another side that has veto power on who gets sent home.

This is wrong. You've partially owned it, but let's be clear. You were WAY off and no, it's not irrelevant, esp. considering how cannabis laws have surrounded that half ounce measure not too long ago. It has to do with intent to distribute and the quantity indeed matters.

Replacement theory is nothing more than an anti-Semitic trope spread by hateful bigots. The same bigots tend to see black privilege as a real thing, too.

Why would we compare the severity of Bout and Griners crimes anyway?

If she were a real criminal we wouldn’t want her back.
