He was there the entire Trump administration. But I guess politics says Biden left him there. Come. On. Man.

 

FTR, I don't feel this was a good trade, but your opinion here is out of line, imo.

 

All Americans didn’t save her ass. A bunch in here want her back in lock up. She should thank Biden. He’s taking the heat from the balanced group of folks that hate his guts and wanted Pence to wave off his election. That one dude in here lost his marbles and would be at the capital with a pitchfork if asked.

My understanding is that she was born a girl, identifies as a woman, and was even housed in a womens' prison. Not sure why you are calling her trans.

why do you keep framing it as if both sides in the conflict are of the same moral character? Does it matter if one is a murdering, raping POS and the other is a good person trying to defend their home? You continue to refuse to discuss that differential as if it doesn't exist

Not necessarily. There is a humanitarian aspect at play. While I'm on record stating that it's a bad trade, I appreciate how some have put it that it's a bad trade, but the right decision. It shouldn't be dismissed as politics, imo.

 

I mentioned this a few pages back and I'll say it again. Not a Biden defender here, but if you think of this from Putin's point of view, he's going to give up a female basketball player a lot faster than he will a captured American soldier. I'm not saying Biden turned a miracle here, but this legitimately may have been the best he could do. It's also possible Putin was facing some internal pressure to release her since she was a basketball player who many fans enjoyed watching there, ie wasn't there in combat at the time of arrest. It sucks for Fogel and his family, no doubt, but I think this had more to do with what Putin was willing to do and in the end, getting someone back is better than no one.
