Our guarding of the highball screen is horrendous. On one highball screen both of our guys end up guarding the guard coming off of the screen and their big guy gets a dunk. On the next play their guard comes off the highball screen. He’s not defended well and he makes a running 3 foot floater. We have a lot to work on.
Hey we showed some fight at the end of the half. I like it. Hoping this game makes us realize how we need to get after it on both ends of the floor. And we need to do it everyday.
The difference between these two programs is that UConn is playing like they know they are good, and we are playing like we are stressed out.
I think we need to go to the Castleton at the 4 and Jason at the 5 at the same time lineup for a bit and see what happens.
I find it somewhat encouraging that as many mistakes the kids made, against the #5 team, they can get right back in this game after halftime by coming out focused and hitting some shots.
we typically don’t agree… but we do here. UConn is the better team, but Florida is playing very, very frazzled.
Castleton, 1-9 Free throws, 5-11 That’s really the difference. Give me 2-3 more points from the line and 3-4 more scores from CC, and this is a one score game. Our D has been relatively solid, but their size and physicality has overwhelmed us at the other end.
