But it is abundantly clear that DeSantis is gaining or even passing Trump and he hasnt made a single campaign move yet. Thats bad news for the orange muffin. True. Pretty much think in the scenarios offered in these polls it looks likely that POTUS DeSantis will get his shot. And I am most definitely here for it.

Biden is basically an ineffectual old man gaffe machine. Trump is a threat to democracy and decency. to me there is no scenario where we deserve Trump, short of Biden publicly pledging allegiance to Russia. At least Trump was mostly circumspect about it.

Agree with your overall sentiment but not sure it's fair to call Biden ineffectual at this point. Do we have any reason to believe that Elizabeth Warren or Mayor Pete would have gotten more done in their first two years? I think Democrats chose Biden because they knew him, Obama's good will had rubbed off on him, and he was seen as safe. He's getting old, but I think he's played his role pretty well despite the gaffes.

The only way Desantis beats Trump is if the following happens: 1. dead people vote 2. The voting machines are rigged 3. Ballots are switched from Trump to Desantis 4. Hugo Chavez' family decides to sell Dominion voting machines 5. Desantis steals the election What am I missing?
