The three most legit services have UF at either #7 or #8. How is 247 biased?

 

Not sure why we dropped in 247. They must have reevaluated some players.

 

I’m not sure what happened. Our average player rating dropped nearly a point but we still have a higher average player rating than the next 4 schools ahead of us even though we have the same number of kids. I know they have Top 10 kids but it seems like it should be evening out.

Other schools signed more players recently and moved ahead of us.

 

End of the day they will feed their paid subscribers what they want. If they have more Bama paid subscribers, the Bama kids will move up the rankings. It is really about survival for these ranking services. You don’t piss off your paying base and bump kids when they commit to schools you have a paid relationship with.

No has signed anywhere; you mean got more commitments, which is meaningless at this time for many recruits

Similar average ranking to OSU, who usually loads up with top players at the beginning of the recruiting season to build a big recruiting lead. This should be a smaller, but very talented '24 class.

 

Unless everybody flips on ESD because of NIL, it isn't meaningless. Most kids who commit early stay committed to that school.

 

Any idea why we dropped to 11th in 247 recruiting?

 

Rivals dropped a BUNCH of our guys in their rankings update the other day

 

Do we know for sure that they weren't unwarranted? Mizell didn't even play this year. His ranking slipped about nine points. Dijon Johnson dropped a few points. Do we know for sure that he didn't underperform this season.

I'm very skeptical of the narrative that all the services are intentionally dinging our committed players. It's just too complicated to do that. Some of you sound like guys still hurting over the girls that turned you down for prom dates. Not saying the ratings/rankings are accurate. Just that they're not intentionally biased.

They have Kearney listed as an OT and that's not even the position he's going to play in college

October 7th he was committed to UCLA and then 4-5 days later he flips to UGA and somehow his rankings just jump 50+ spots?

Webb started the year as the 7th ranked RB and ran for over 1k and 100 yards a game and 20 td's and dropped to the 21st RB and went from around the 130th ranked player to almost the 300th ranked player?

 

After what Rivals did to EW, I laugh at anyone who poo-poos this board’s constant shitting on that site/rankings

 

Rivals has an inability to evaluate talent. It is obvious they either did not watch his film or have an inability to compare film of WRs if they were unable to ascertain his skill-set, ability and speed from those they ranked higher than him. That is the most absurd evaluation I’ve witnessed in a long time
