I could be mistaken and if I am I apologize to him but my impression is that even though he has been very critical of Trump he would still vote for the Donald rather than a Democrat.

I would consider tilly a very respectful, patient and intelligent Republican. He deserves a gold medal. That said, I would ask him whose mind he has changed with all this patience and respect he continues to show? Perhaps I’m wrong, but all I see here is they keep baiting you. There are lots of very good people on both sides of the aisle. It’s too bad people are so small-minded as to think GOP, so he must be all bad. No matter what he posts, he gets ridiculed. Tilly, that scripture about pearls and swine……just sayin.

I would vote for neither. My hatred for Trump doesnt mean I have to embrace something else I dislike.

I will write in a (real) conservative.

Heck, I'll write in Reagan's corpse before I ever pull the lever for Trump. :D

    1. Appreciate the words. :)
    2. I am no longer a republican.
    3. MANY liberal posters here are very fair to me. Far more than I can name. What doho is doing is just 8gnorance personified. He is literally showing that JE is the extremist, biy ripping even moderate, Trump hating conservatives.

Its all or nothing for giys like him. All blue or screw you. I'll cast light on that all day.

Appreciate it man. Weve always had our disagreements, but always with a sort of fist bump mentality afterwords... life is much bigger than this red blue crap.

Thread has really taken a turn here toward the bathroom thing. I do want to say that I agree with you that the people who voted for Trump have more in common with those that voted against him that many think. While we agree that Trump has objectively horrendous traits, many thought Hillary was plain unacceptable. I’ll admit I voted for Hillary because I thought Trump was plain unacceptable. Of course, I never flew Hillary flags on my vehicle.

As for the bathroom thing, I have to agree with your critics here that this issue isn’t about democracy. For me, uses of democracy are those that influence m second order effects in decision making. I.e. not who can visit a bathroom, but how do we decide who can visit a bathroom. Such democratic issues include packing courts, decision thresholds, electoral college, veto power, norms of transfer of power, etc.
