Whelp, ya really never know how all of this will turn out. Besides the guys that are declaring, most of the other folks are transferring to get some or more playing time at another school. Makes total sense. Nonetheless, the sheer numbers are pretty astounding. The kids see the new recruits coming in and the writing on the wall. Transfer, sit or be relegated to the practice squad. A while back we heard about the evaluation process and sit-downs with the staff. It was probably a nurturing affair something like: "Lishen you mug, you're not gonna make it, shee? You're washed up. Ya ain't got it kid, ya just ain't got it, shee?" Well, hopefully it wasn't like that-certainly not with Napier. I bet he was very truthful and caring. And then there were none. Talk about selling available playing time. Lotta young quality kids taking the field next year, that's for sure. I appreciate the kids that have been here. And the ones that couldn't make it work out. Always Gators. Go Gators.
And that is exactly the Torrence I was talking about. I believe there is some one behind him on all the depth charts. Same with Shorter. You are not going deeper than the two deep at either of those positions. You make it sound like we will be playing sandlot replacements and that’s not the case.
Well, at least the other person who started a "let's choose not to compete" thread was ahead of the curve.
They could suck 100% of the time. Regardless, there's nothing more that can be done than play the best guy available and prepare them as well as possible. SEC mandates that we show up and play and we will do that.
Engel played a few snaps at the end of one of the blowouts. SC game I think. *It was SC. Only game appearance, but we do have a qb who has played more than a single down. Lol
Push the running game, have the qb throw safe passes. Hope the D can get some stops. May as well be starting a football program from scratch; at least that is how this feels.
UCF lost their back up QB to the portal the week of their conference championship. Guy was needed too, since Plumlee got hurt. He wanted to preserve his RS, so he just didn't dress for the conference championship.
Don’t think so. He recorded no stats. Pretty sure he just handed it handed it off a couple times. But he took the snaps without fumbling! We’re saved! *. And honestly, whoever qb’s the bowl game, that’s about all I want to see them do anyway. Run, run, run, run, run, occasionally let ricky have an end around or throw a bomb, but run the ball!
Me too. But, the QB running option will be significantly hampered, so that helps the defense narrow in on the carrier. Is Pearsall staying and playing in the bowl? Wondering about Ventrell regarding the bowl, too, since he's playing in the Senior Bowl. Funny how no one ever opts out worrying about career-threatening injuries in that bowl.
I thought max brown was a runner. Put him in and go to the i. Three headed attack. We have the majority of our oline and both our rb’s. Just run!
No, they can and will compete. I’m just wondering do you have enough time to prepare? Not to mention also UF won’t be able to have recruits that week. Which is what a week before early signing day
Curious to see what BN and staff will come up with in this bowl game. One positive thing is that Oregon State can only speculate too. It’s almost certain we will try to run, run and run some more, but we may try and throw it around more than most people think. I hope Pearsall is playing. It would be nice to have Henderson too.
Plenty of games this year when we were all thinking run, but we had ar tossing it all over the field, so who knows. The games we actually ran, we won. The games where we tried to force a passing game, we lost.
Then you missed my point. I said that these 3 offensive players will be missed and that they will be drafted. Gervon Dexter will be missed too but not as much as the 3 combined on the offensive side of the ball.
