Mountain west is definitely more appropriate - but “mountain” isn’t a direction - like northwest, southeast, northeast, southwest, midwest…..you know Just messin around too. Damn, it’s already the off season
Texans can’t see beyond the borders of their own state. What do they know about Florida? I know some folks in Levy County and Marion County and Suwannee County and Dixie County who would enjoy taking up this discussion with your friend from Texas
Why do people say this? Part of coaching is getting players. He took a doormat and went 27-5. If you think he can’t coach you are fooling yourself.
It seemed an odd destination. But if part of the deal was his son playing QB, it makes more sense. I thought he would be at USF for sure. He’s inheriting a 1-11 program, so hard for it to be a “disaster”. If anything, assuming he brings some recruits to CO, it will be hard for this to be anything but successful. All he has to do is get them to 8-4 and some bowl games and that is a massive success vs. 1-11 and would probably lead to an “elite” job opp. I think Deion at USF would have been somewhat of a nuisance for UF, as I think he could more easily poach some in-state DB recruits FL might want.
I'm glad he didn't end up at USF, he would have hurt us more in recruiting if he was in Tampa. Getting Florida guys out to Colorado is a much tougher sell, but he should have some success recruiting California. Those guys will still have a couple games in their home state every year.
Horse Hockey and everyone on this board knows it. You might think you are being cute every time you weigh in defending some typical POS Nole, but its glaringly obvious what you are. I'm not sure what kind of loser hangs around on a rivals boards pretending to be something else...but I guess that lack of integrity I mentioned must be a common thread among Noles.
To be fair, most thought the same of Urban in Jacksonville. Sometimes - to paraphrase Ian Malcolm - disaster finds a way.
Very odd for the Kent State coach to take a step down to being an OC. If the stories are true about his offense, seems a top power school might have come knocking soon.
