That's actually what you are doing. Every time someone brings up the MAGAt nuts running the GOP, you pivot to the Romney wing that is shrinking daily.

No i dont. I tell the extremists on the left the truth when they try and lump every Trump voter as being a Trump supporter.

I swear you guys are blinded by the very one sided pov you like to preach against.

    The jokes on you.

As far as I am aware only a few elected Republican officeholders have condemned trump for the statement, Lisa Murkowski being the most prominent - I guess you could add Liz Chaney and Adam Kinzinger but their views on trump cost cost them an election and they will be leaving office very shortly.

I heard Mike Turner (R) being offered a chance to denounce the statement and he sorta did but I couldn't tell if he disagreed with the part about the election being stolen or the need to eliminate parts of the Constitution. He danced around the question quite a bit.

Top Republicans stay silent on Trump’s call to terminate the Constitution

As I said upthread, the majority are waiting to see how Trump's comments reflect in the next wave of polls before jumping off the fence. If/when he doesn't lose much support from his die-hard base (that represents the plurality of the party if not the outright majority), many will start saying the exact same garbage.

Wouldn't democrats want to get rid of the constitution too? It would eliminate that pesky 1st and 2nd amendment.

Complete BS. There's only one party actively trying to subvert the Constitution and it ain't the Dems!

The joke is on you, Sir. You think you can reason with them and they’ll show you mutual respect, but they will not. Their goal is to condemn you into submission. They will never see your point of view, because they aren’t here for conversation. They are here to promote the agenda at any cost.

Care to explain yourself here? Cause you repeat this often. How is the progressive agenda a danger to democratic values?

Yeah I was wondering that too. I think he must think that conservative values and democratic values are the same thing. They aren't.

It's not, of course. That's just something said to justify remaining "neutral" as the rightwingers push deeper into fascism and dictatorship, like in Hungary.

The Rs who stood up to Trump directly have lost in the primaries. Those who won the primaries in swing states lost in the general elections. Really puts Rs in the bind. Don't kowtow to Trump, and get primaried. Bend your knees too much to Trump and lose in the general election.

Not all Rs are Trump supporters, but the reality is, there are still a large numbers of Trumpers in the R party to be able to control most of the primaries. If Trumpers didn't win the primaries, that would be one thing. But we saw plenty of them win in the primary, only to lose in the generals. And this is why Trump is still relevant.

If you want to make Trump irrelevant, the Rs need to not vote for Trump or any candidate he supports in the primaries. It's that simple. Of course, don't vote for Trump, and he's going to cry, whine, and potentially crumble the entire party.

Progressives want everyone to have state funded healthcare; conservatives want to live in a theocratic autocracy. Both sides have gone off the deep end.

Yep, time and time again, when it's just Repubs voting, they choose Trump or Trump's chosen wing-nut proxies.

In Utah this poll has him trailing Liz Cheney.

Yeah, the Mormons as a whole don't care for trump. I think it has to do with his stance on immigrants and general lack of morality
