Whatever they think of him now, they will rationalize doing so when the time comes to vote. They will buy into whatever the demonization of the Democrat is. No matter who the nominee is

I doubt anyone even still supports DeSantis. That election was like two weeks ago.

 

I might add that's very unlikely even if DeSantis wins the Republican nomination. You are aware that Trump would do his best to take down DeSantis even if it means blowing up the Republican Party and the reelection of Joe Biden. And if you think that Trump's false narrative of voter fraud is limited to Democratic candidates remember this from 2016 regarding a Republican who was running against the Donald.

They are not ashamed. They still support him. And for them, if it is a choice between Democrats and the termination of the Constitution, they will choose the latter. They have demonstrated it in their voting, behavior and posting.

Just an observation but the strategy of attacking the messenger when one cannot rebut the message seems to be rather common among conservative posters.

While I have admittedly attacked certain right-wing media sources like Breitbart or the Western Journal the difference is that I usually include a detailed rebuttal to their BS. I have also attacked Tucker Carlson simply citing the link below which says it all regarding Tucker's credibility.
