They took a decisive position in protecting their brand when it came to a kid posting a racist remake on social media. I would have expected an equally fast and decisive response to this incident as well.
No, I want him removed from the team. Kicked off. Immediately. Permanently. There is no due process needed for removal of a player. Only in legal proceedings. There is no reason to have him remain on the roster and sully the school's name by association in the media. Napier should be making an example out of him. Fail to meet fundamental decency and bahavioral standards....You're no longer associated with our team or university. There is no reason to let this drag out. Cut ties and move on.
My wife shared that detail with me earlier, but it is out there... https://www.wuft.org/news/2022/12/0...-to-post-bail-after-child-pornography-arrest/
He’s been indefinitely suspended. That’s about all that needs to be done or said as far as Napier goes. Go be a coach Napier. Let the system handle this BS.
He’s suspended indefinitely. It's a distinction without a difference. Do you actually think there's even a 0.1% chance Jalen Kitna plays football for the University of Florida again? When the answer is no, my follow-up is, "then what are we upset about?"
When I see a headline, it should read "Former UF QB Kitna" or "Former Gator QB Kitna". As it stands now, they all read as current, such as "Gators QB Kitna" or "UF's QB Kitna".
Then it wouldn't be as sensational a story. Glad he never started a game and it would be better if he had never seen snaps. AR's future at UF in the balance probably made Kitna's potential bowl game appearance a contributing factor to the "Gator quarterback " headline otherwise it would have been less damaging to say a kid buried on a roster got busted. Not to downplay the issue of the charges which of course are disgusting and worthy of news on their own.
One is on scholly and a UF student, the other was a HS commit who wasn't even part of the program yet
I believe free will does not exist. Every choice in life you make is either made because you want to or because you are forced to. There is no other scenario you can think of where there is a choice outside those 2 scenarios.
No, Free will defined as if we were to wind back the clock in any situation it was within the realm of possibility for you to have acted differently to the way that you actually did. For example, lets say you love pizza. You were given the choice between eating a salad and eating a pizza. You would choose the Pizza every single time because you WANT to eat pizza. Even if you were given the choice to go back in time and make that choice you would still pick the pizza. You never had the free will to pick the salad, because if you did pick the salad you only did so because you were forced to. Can you control to choose what you want? Can you control to choose to want to punch your grandmother in the face? No, right? You can't control that. So think of every choice you made in your life. You made it because you either wanted to make that choice or because you were forced to. So how is this free will?
"(Jalen) Kitna sobbed into his hands when his parents, including former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, addressed the court during a 75-minute appearance. Jon Kitna tapped his feet repeatedly and held hands with Jennifer throughout their son's first court appearance. Jalen Kitna donned a green smock -- different from the striped pants and tops other inmates wear -- typically given to those being kept under close watch because of concerns about their welfare."
