I can't wait to see the list of those hitting the portal. The list of those declaring for the NFL draft will be very short and the list of those graduating will be even shorter.
Bowl game is worthless, but the 15 extra practices for our underclassmen is great as far as prepping for next year goes.
If I am not mistaken, I believe the UF Roster for the 2022 season listed 5 Seniors. There is a possibility that a few Juniors could be ready to graduate early.
NCAA and the University President's destroyed the bowl system. Apparently the TV money makes them financially desirable. IMO bowls are BARELY a step above a spring game. 2020 proved to me that bowls are worthless. If Miami had made a crappy bowl, would they even draw 1,000 fans?
I would expect several this week, Helm started it off yesterday.....upside being it will allow staff to focus on working with guys that will be here next season.
Maybe wait until the bowl game is announced before opting out? My goodness. If it's Vegas bowl, play. If it's Birmingham who knows? Liberty Bowl in that dump of a stadium, lots going to skip imo Swag for liberty gift suite, Bass Pro Shops gift card, Philips Soundbar Bluetooth speaker, Nike athletic shoes, sport sandals, sunglasses and backpack and a commemorative football
They should just let all teams have 15 days of post-season practice, like spring for the benefit of all those players who will be returning.
Been wondering about all those rules as well. Now that NIL is out there and paying players is no biggie, then how toothless is the NCAA on all their other stupid rules like number of coaches on the sideline or number of practices? Some of the rules are there for player safety but some are just dumb.
