Actually, that's not what happened. That was 4th and 12. We got possession after the missed pick and went down and scored a TD to go up 14 to 7. At the time I was thinking we were better off that he dropped it because we still scored a TD but also gave our defense a rest.
Good luck Mr Helm and we appreciate all your time and effort. Portal wars have begun. We are going to lose some and get some. What I’ve noticed is: 1. Underclassmen transferring due to PT usually aren’t going to fulfill their star rankings. There is a reason they were buried 2. Upperclassmen (especially grads) often do quite well provided they’ve been playing. They typically want a better scheme for their abilities or a new challenge 3. G5 or low P5 to high P5 often works if the guy was a stud. 4. Family issue. Crapshoot Basically we want our transfers to be older established guys or studs at smaller schools. Getting a highly recruited 2020 or 2021 guy that was buried is much more dicey
Is that really the appropriate word you or this board want to be associated with when describing someone? Can someone delete this post with its offensive word? Thanks.
I don’t buy that completely. I know GNFP breaks down film as good as anyone but …70 of those 83 rushing yards from Travis came with 3 of our guys in the backfield with hands on him. He just made a really good play out of nothing. And if you would have told me we would hold him to 13-30 passing before the game started, we would have taken that all day long. Marshall did a pretty good job of neutralizing Wilson, with only 2 catches… while giving up 7 inches. Our D personnel were in the spots to make plays on more than a few occasions that could have turned this game around, but missed on opportunities. And don’t get me started with the officiating. Worst called game of the year, by far.
Who knows, but I can see a future scandal where parents pay off a recruiting service to inflate stars in order for their son to get a fat NIL deal. I don’t have a problem paying kids once they earn their status IN college, but paying high dollars to a high school kid is risky.
Didn't some of these elite players not earn it in highschool? They dedicated 4 yrs of training, sacrifice and injury. They lead their teams to district, regional and state championships. Some multiple times. They have built up a following. They have earned it.
If the "M word" disturbs you that much, especially in a sports forum, you may be taking the delicate sensibilities thing a bit far. For added perspective, I'd suggest you check out TOS for a fuller understanding of just how well-moderated and "genteel" this board truly is. Try not to swoon.
LOL. The fact that you write "M word" is all the proof that I need to demonstrate that its not an appropriate word to describe someone.
Looking forward to seeing what Kitna can do in the bowl game. But he just doesn't look ready. With AR gone, We need a portal QB with experience to come in immediately.
How "short" must an American male be to be pigeonholed as a "midget"? How "low" must ones IQ be to be pigeonholed a "mental-midget"?
He is ready to run the read option. He was more decisive (and correct) on his run than I have seen AR all year. Getting a player whose family member has NFL experience seems really underappreciated among fans. For example, Jefferson was not a speed merchant or athletic freak to fawn over, but he was the best receiver we have had in a while. I'm not going to expect Kitna to be a top starter in the SEC next year, but I am not going to underplay his chances at beating out whoever we can get in the portal. Guys are often in the portal because they have been beaten out by a better player or don't get along with a coach.
