In short, make fsu qb play inside a phone booth and beat you with his arm. We didn't and he beat us with his feet.
Thank you for this. It confirmed what I suspected. Offensive scheme and play calling isn’t an issue. Maybe a couple times a game but that’s every play caller. And… CBN got that level of production without a stellar receiving core or a super accurate QB. Factor in the amount of dropped passes and missed check downs then there’s nothing wrong with our O. I don’t see an issue with Billy’s play calling.
I don't know how much it's the offense and how much it's just how good Johnson and Etienne are but I think the offensive performance has given us a lot to be excited about going forward if they can clean up a few things. Imagine if we had a couple more play makers at receiver and a more even QB. Biggest issue with the offense has been the red zone and situational offense. Actually we seemed to be at our worst when we needed to score to keep a lead or extend a lead and did better once we were behind. It was a disjunct offense but it was still able to score well. This 1st year offense was better than Meyer's first year for example
Overall, i like his offense. He needs more consistency at QB. He was transitioning to SEC opponets without his handpicked players. He made mistakes, sure. But there was much progress. Another yearbor two and we will be fine.
Dude, I appreciate what you do with the GNFP videos, but you put way too much trust in their stuff. He’s a dude that’s not in the room with these players and coaches and just critiques film based on results on the field. It’s easy to nitpick after the fact based on results. Not saying our coaches have it all figured out, but you don’t think they have someone on staff watching these videos? I’m sure our coaches are well aware of the issues and are working through them. A few plays here or there and we would be Tennessee this year. A low talent team with decent results. Instead we are a low talent team with average results.
You may be right but playcalling with a great qb is much easier. That’s a big part of why Mullen was such a good playcaller when he had elite qb’s. Not so much when he had Franks.
Does anyone know James personally? Is he a trust fund baby? I follow financial news and the doom and gloom is what sells on YouTube and guys are making a killing with it whether they believe it or not. All that to say, you gonna trust a guy criticizing our team for $100 donations? Let’s see if Napier will bring him on staff.
I’m sure the guy could make a good case for what a dumb ass Saban is for giving up all those points this year
He’s still getting the players so far. They’ll probably be back.he neeeds some playmakers and maybe coordinators
Just curious why do you think Bama isn’t in a good position with NIL? They seem to have deep pockets, and their machine seems to support the program. Do you think Saban isn’t on board with it?
Saban’s on board with it. I think as a program, they aren’t that rich in resources. Their endowments have been decreasing relative to ours from what I’m seeing.
Don't know about that. Bama got people who will take out a 3rd mortgage on their mobile home to buy the next great LB.
