Sounded a couple weeks ago like he's made his decision. He was talking about the place he chose. That was before his USC visit, so it's hard for me to assume that's his choice.

I think he’s gonna pick USC. Lincoln’s about to have his 3rd or 4th heisman winner. Hard to recruit against that

A&M appears to be a mess too. Money talks but we just need to be in the ballpark maybe.

A wholesale roster flip last year would have been difficult on short notice. This time around,Napier knows what he has, money should be sorted out as to know how to spread it around, and he’s had time to evaluate the needs of our team. I think we will get a handful of starters from the portal.

They will have a good bag ready and a proven qb coach. The only downside is not playing in the best conference and having big games that the entire nation tunes in to.

I don’t know how much this visit will weigh into his decision. There are some things to like with Riley, great weather, easier path to stardom …but I do know that his family absolutely loves BN and the staff. They made quite an impression on them. I guess we’ll find out in 10 days.

Regardless of where he goes he is still free to change his mind for another year.

I keep trying to tell people that. Some keep pointing to Kelly and what he did with the portal on such short notice. But he was forced to because his numbers were so damn low. He had no choice.

And perhaps Kelly had the money pipeline ready for him when he got there. He was already recruiting top kids at Notre Dame, it’s unlikely Napier had a ton of relationships with the same type of players.

I doubt this, but I’m not going to say you’re wrong, not in todays recruiting world. He’s visited them 1 time all year. They haven't made it feel like “family”, as they haven’t had time. He set a commitment date before even visiting USC, which would tell me he already knew were he was going. Your point is valid tho.

i would be a bit shocked if he doesn’t pick UF tbh. Florida flippin Rashada has no bearing on hos decisin either imo because wherever he picked, that school bringing in a top QB in 2023 anyways whether it’s UF or Clemson or USCw or A&M. Wait, A&M does NOT have a QB commit for 2023…..

I agree. I think he’ll be UF bound, as well. aTM is my only concern because of #of visits, no QB, $, and close to home.

aTm doesn’t have a RB, WR, QB or TE of significance in the 2023 class. They are hurting on the offensive recruiting side, and that could be a red flag for DJ and others. Also not knowing how much longer Jimbo may be around. DJ may see what UF is pulling in this year and how much he could help next year. Fingers are crossed and only 10 more days.

why would DJ go to A&M? Half of the highest ever ranked recruiting class is entering the portal. I don’t even see A&M being on the radar. Jimbo got some serious damage control he needs to worry about.

Why would he? hmm let’s see. I don’t think he’ll pick aTm over us, but aTm is the school to worry about.

    1. He’s visited aTm 7+ times compared to UF 4 times
    2. Proximity to home 40min away, I believe.
    3. aTm hasn’t signed a QB this year. (This could be a positive for aTm, but also a red flag)
4 $ money let’s not pretend aTM won’t fork up money.

All valid reason really, regardless of who’s leaving aTm. I agree, aTm is a dumpster fire right now,,as Jimbo may not even be around long, which I expressed in my post.

Also, I spoke with Sports Illustrated Director of recruiting, and he said that while UF is in good shape for DJ, aTm and USC where schools to look out for.

none of this implies he’s going to choose aTm, but it’s silly to think they aren’t in it.
