    Typing as I listen….

Not a good effort tonight… i am very disappointed w our lack of resiliency. Tough start and didn’t handle the fouls issues well. We showed some toughness at end of the half. And then to begin the second half- we did not do a good job at all. I expected us to be better coming out. At the end of the first half we got some stops, finished better, got a couple kills. I thought we had momentum. Colin being out he was unable to find a rhythm or his tenacity. They too advantage. They apply a lot of pressure. Fly out at shooters w length. We prepared for it, but when you see it …. it’s different. We didn’t knock down shots. We got some decent looks.
It just wasn’t good enough. I thought this game would tilt wether it would be a good or bad trip. We played great game against Oregon state…. Our most compete game of the season. This effort will leave a sour taste as we go home.

Glad he doesn’t sugar coat things. I wish he would be more transparent on why Lane and Reeves aren’t playing. If players aren’t playing with enough effort, get them out of the game.

he is not even being asked.

Imagine that. I cannot for the life of me, understand why more coaches don't subscribe to this style of play.

    Thanks for transcribing aka! Cheers

Media outlets have drastically cut the travel budgets for their reporters.

The cost of commercial airfare from GNV to PDX on a holiday weekend, plus hotel rooms had to be very high.

There's only a handful of reporters covering Nascar in person anymore for the same reason. I've seen a lot of the people I work with cut loose over the past several years.

I get it, but this was a national tourney, very strong field and early in the tenure of coach golden. The hometown paper really needed to send someone.
Attention Gainesville Sun … next time, hit me up. Throw me a media badge, and I’ll take care of the rest.

I'm not excusing them, but that's just the way it is. If anything, its only getting
    worse.

We had a shooting problem last year. We had a problem with an inability to play well when the other team got physical ( including CC) . We seem to have the same problems this year.

Until your Coach comes up with a plan to counter that, and the players mentally & emotionally toughen up, expect to see a lot more of that style of play.

if you were the opposing coach and scouting Florida, that’s what most here would do.

It’s now painfully obvious that we have TWO major men’s sports that have under whelmingly ‘recruited’ us into middle of the patch status (at best) in the Conference. Coach Golden has his work cut out to bring in better talent across the Board. Nobody gives a flip about padding the record with wins against inferior opponents. Got to get the talent to hang with the good to great teams. Good luck and go gettem, Coach. Meanwhile, bring on Baseball.

i still think this is a talented roster. Wether that gels into a good team… that remains a glaring question.

looks like the Don's haven't skipped a beat yet, 6-1. To win consistently in the SEC you have to be able to coach up your team every night.

But besides basic stats, you can't develop a program on analytics, you need the jimmy and joes, a few mc D's or committed players that can be developed in a year (like the 04s).
This team is going to struggle when we get to SEC conference play and the quick turn arounds to consistently win ball games. I expect Vandy, South Carolina and Georgia to be the bottom of the league, lets just hope we aren't right there with them.
Xavier is a very good basketball team, no crying after that loss in hindsight.

There will come a time when there will be one national newspaper option . With a couple of reporters that will disburse the news . No print news , which is about 2 years away. One reporter in the local area to report on local news, weather , local high school team

Baseball ain’t that great either . Lot of talk but not much substance. Haven’t done much since ‘17 to be honest. But we are a #5 Academic school. Yay us

The term talented may be relative. Do we have a talented enough team to
Challenge for a top 4 conference seeding? We will see.

I wouldnt be surprised if in-person press conferences aren't replaced by Zoom or some other electronic media presently, or at very least used to augment local coverage. Once a conference or a group of teams set the model, everyone else will probably jump on board.
