also need fire, passion, which AR lacks. Win some lose some comments, chatting it up with a nole and smiling after getting sacked to go 3 and out shows lack of both. He did show fire on a later 3rd down run, but with him it comes and goes. He seems happy with either.

If he were carving up defenses, I doubt you'd be too worried about his "body language".

I think it’s more of how Napes wants the QB to play. His QB at Louisiana was pass first and rushed for 343 in 14 games in 2021, 24/game. Likely a combo of what you said and leaning more towards learning the play book and the position at the same time. AR is likely heading to the NFL, but I would assume another year with Napes in his system, his completion % would go up and his decision making would be better. Likely hear something soon about his plans!

I’ve seen several posts about AR’s lack of passion being a reason of his play or why he struggled some games this year. I tend to disagree with having the type of passion fans are talking about which is rah rah fire everybody up and run through a brick wall. Watching other top level QB’s play, you probably have more who are less rah rah than are. Some QB personalities are like that, however there is no correlation between a passionate rah rah QB and wins. The fans might like to see some emotions but I’ll take a level headed QB over a passionate and emotional one any day. AR has no problem celebrating and showing his passion when it’s warranted and tries to remain calm to slow the game down other times.

You don't have to be rah rah exuberant. You cannot hang your head and mope.

I think the most successful qb I can think of with the worst body language was Eli manning. Not too many qbs I remember that show the body language that AR does.

Yeah I think what you said makes a ton of sense. I think as a fanbase we saw the extreme highs and extreme lows of an inexperienced QB. I expected to see him miss throws and be inaccurate from game to game. What I didn't expect was for him to be hesitant on read option plays. I figured that would be his bread and butter, but it seemed like he was never comfortable keeping all year. His big explosive runs were when plays broke down and he improvised.

I don't mean to put him down, or look at this year as a failure, it just didn't go as I thought it would. I wanted a better year for him, because I know he's a Gator through and through and probably expected more from himself.

    you would be correct

How many QBs do you see smiling after getting sacked on 3rd down? His tomahawk chop after the first TD was not warranted. Save that after the win.

I guess no news if good news regarding Kelby Collins bammer visit.

Thought I read he was visiting this weekend, if so, was that an unofficial? Rivals lists him there on 12/9 for a OV.
