This is why I don't take people that act like our fanbase is uniquely unreasonable seriously.

Clearly they are Gator fans posing as osu fans since we are constantly told Gator fans are the most impatient fan base....

Meatchicken and Florida have gone different directions since that beatdown we put on them. Congrats to them for shutting up the insufferable bucknuts.

Don't forget playing in the pac12 or big10. Nobody really knows if Michigan or Ohio State is actually any good until it's CFP time as the conference is terrible.

SEC teams wouldn't tolerate going undefeated every regular season then getting blown out every playoff game. And they shouldn't. Beating up on Purdue and Iowa isn't worth $10M a year.

6 years would be too long. I think 4 is more appropriate. Not saying he has to win a championship by year 4 …but we need to be competitive with everyone on the schedule and have hope from one season to the next.

I wouldn't say this team wasn't competitive. The SEC is hard, and most losses were 1 score games. One or two plays in each game and we could have been 9-3 probably. Also could have been 3-9. So to say we weren't competitive is inaccurate I think. Think everyone needs to step away from the ledge and let things play out.

Year 2 & 3 should give a pretty strong indication of where the program stands.

This year's debacle was more about the past than Napier. Culture change was the only necessary result and I think we've seen many signs of that taking root.

Next year is about being more efficient on O, functional on D, and winning seven.

Year 3 things should look like we're are on the precipice of breaking through and have 8+ wins against a very tough schedule.

Fall short of that and Napier will likely be gone somewhere in year four.

Ha-Ha! the notion of “Don’t be absurd. You need to give it six years.” The best that can be said, for Michigan is, glad that Harbaugh finally figured it out. And he’ll probably still get routed by the Dawgs.

    In my head--- UF
Not picking a fight. Harbaugh and UM might be a lesson or a good case study.

3 of his first 4 seasons- 10 wins. Lots of heat 19/20.

Big changes on coaching staff. He let go of veteran assistants (Mullen famously would not do so). From one article
‘ Michigan’s younger coaches helped, doing more correcting and conversing than chastising’

I suggest folks spend some time reading about how Harbaugh did it.

I’d be pretty happy with 3 seasons of 10 wins while UF rebuilds.

    How about you

I guess you are correct if the only thing you care about is winning a Natty every year. Personally, I think that is a ridiculous and unrealistic attitude.

Both Georgia and Michigan were willing to be patient and give Smart and Harbaugh time to build their programs. Harbaugh didn't do squat for five years; this is his seventh year at Michigan. Now, Georgia and Michigan are rolling.

It's pretty absurd that gator fans are too entitled and impatient to give a coach the time he needs to get the job done.

Talent acquisition. Only game in town in their state, which was producing 4 and 5 star guys at a hellacious clip when he took over at UGA. Helped that the SEC east was a dumpster fire too.

Program was in decent shape when Richt left. They had several top recruiting classes prior to Kirby.

Their biggest weakness was defense and Kirby was able to fix that.

Then he went out and stepped up the recruiting even more, especially on the defensive end.

They're about 5 years ahead of us when it comes to facilities. While we were in the planning and early stages of our upgrades, Georgia's were up and running.

The difference is they started with a better talent base and had a solid QB.

Unfortunately we are in a total rebuild because of Mullen.

We will be patient with Napier. After two monumental failures we have no choice. And btw all fans are ‘entitled’.

Yes I don’t think Gators are particularly impatient but we went thru a very strange run in coaches self imploding. All those coaches could have gone longer if not for going crazy.

Mullen, for sure. I'll never understand why someone would literally quit on the job like that, especially one that is so high profile.

When things turned bad for Mac, he just imploded.

The same. 3 years give somewhat of an indicator of the coach/program direction. Especially for CBN... by year 3, majority of the players of the roster will be his
