Bowl Game projection - Gators

    I’ve seen Birmingham Bowl against Houston, Las Vegas Bowl against UCLA, Music City Bowl against Illinois and Autozone Liberty Bowl against Baylor.
    I was hoping for the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa for the short 30 minute drive :cool:. Las Vegas Bowl would interesting against UCLA or Liberty Bowl against Baylor would be my top 2.

    Any other potential bowl matchups you’ve heard?

    What matchup would you like to see?

    I think the team could get up for that matchup!!! Illinois and Houston remind me too much of a UCF matchup from last year. No benefit. Miami would be solid.

    Miami is dull and also I doubt they beat Pitt.

    At least the Birmingham Bowl has been moved to the new stadium downtown and not played in that sh!thole Legion Field anymore

    I’m with you on Gasparilla. Not thrilled with Las Vegas as that’s December 17. Liberty wouldn’t be bad. Definitely like or need a winnable match up.

    Why would anyone match UCLA at 9-3 with UF?

    There is this irony.
    UF beat Utah, Utah beat USC
    UF beat So Carolina, Gamecocks beat UT and Clem's son.
    UF beat TAM and TAM beat LSU.

    But: UF beats UF=Vandy wins' and FSU + officials beat UF

    Outside of the CFP, NY6, and Jan 1st bowls...does anyone really care about bowls?

    Awesome to watch our guys play one more time.
    Great opportunity to develop some younger players with a bunch more practices, build momentum for next year, and hopefully add a win to our total. 7-6 will have to do for this year.

    Nobody has cared about bowls for 20 years. It’s been about the BCS Nat Championship game and the CFP. The exception is MAYBE the Rose Bowl. But a non championship Sugar or Orange Bowl has been a joke for decades now… so obviously the French Onion Soup bowl has been too

    I’ll take any bowl. I also think you’ll see Billy teach that EVERY game matters. Unfortunately our last coach did not care a ton about Bowl games. Great life lesson about bowl games as Billy will find a way to make it important.

    Just saw ReliaQuest Jan 2 Vs Illinois

    also Birmingham Vs Memphis.

    These are updated. At 6-6 we’d be very lucky to get A Jan 2 game.
    Both teams are beatable.

    Had we beaten Vandy I would have said Gator and ND.

    I do. It’s another opportunity to watch our boys play. It’s gotten bad like the Pro Bowl with all them opt outs though.

    Me too. I don’t think you’ll see many opt outs w Billy.
    I think Birmingham or Gasparills likely but ReliaQuest against Big 10 team would be great. Jan 2 game you don’t see many guys not playing.
