Lots of false prophets out there. Some of them are straight up frauds and know it. Many of them are simply terrible people who lack self awareness and have no real understanding of the Bible. They don’t think they are shitty people. They feel they are children of god with the same conviction I bet you do.
Not Westboro Baptist. It is an actual church in WA with actual, though small, membership. And they are definitely not remotely Christ-like although they find scripture to support their beliefs.
Conviction does not mean anything. Terrorist are convicted. Works … what you DO… means everything. Act like a jackass.. you are a jackass. Act christ like and you are Christ like. I don’t care what you call yourself or how you “feel”.

Stupid thing to say but it seems pretty obvious the non-binary claim is a desperate attempt to keep this from becoming a hate crime and thus punishable by death.
How does the shooter being non-binary, gay, etc. change the narrative of it being a hate crime? hate crime noun a crime, typically one involving violence, that is motivated by prejudice on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, or other grounds. "legislation to stiffen penalties for persons convicted of hate crimes"
I come to that conclusion because the first mention from anyone ever about this dude being non-binary is from his defense attorney. Pictures of the dude with his mother from July show a regular looking dude - nothing that set off my trans/non-binary radar. Seems obvious this is a Hail Mary attempt to make it seem like this wasn’t a targeted attempt against LGBTQ targeted for being such.

Exactly. Who gives a shit? This person shot up a bar killing several people, injuring many others, and stealing the innocence of so many. String them up by their balls or by their other parts, it does not matter. And I'm not missing the point re: Hate crime. It can def still be a hate crime regardless of the shooter's method of identity.
The guy killed 5 people. The designation or lack thereof it being a hate crime is a non-starter. Again trying to cast a wide net of people as insensitive to what happened here to gain moral superiority on a message board to make yourself feel better about yourself. The self-righteousness on constant display here is absurd.
I don’t think it will be a successful defense, agreed. But I think that’s what is being attempted here. It’s the difference between life and the death penalty. Can’t blame the DUDE for trying.
They have talked to his friends and family and, thus far, nobody seems to have been aware of this identification. Hard to argue it is genuine but that nobody knew. In addition, he is on video from a year ago as referring to himself as "Your boy," which would be a weird thing to do if that person was non-binary.
Colorado does not have the death penalty. The only way this guy gets injected is if this is labeled a hate crime and becomes a federal offense. I think that’s what he’s trying to avoid by claiming to be non-binary.
