I hope I'm wrong but this staff just has multiple red flags that I'm just too nervous about the future of this football program.

I was hoping for something like Mullen's 1st season (I know, I know "but what about how that ended" blah blah blah), but at least the arrow was pointing up

I am officially worried and I was one of the biggest CBN advocates out there

Being a culture guy, organized, and wanting a ton of analysts are nice but nothing super important. In fact that should be a requirement in modern football…

Problem is he’s not an offensive or defensive expert. In fact his insistence on being the man on offense is probably a net negative.

That’s ok if it’s made up elsewhere. But he’s poor at clock management. Poor in RZ offense. Poor in 2 and 4 minute offense.

Put that together and he’s a bad gameday coach.

Recruiting is pretty good right now but in line with nearly all the major first year coaches.

Its just getting a Zookian vibe. CBN seems smarter but will he adjust?

^ Agree, there are probably some current Assistants in other SEC schools who are more technically sound and innovative than Napier, so if he is going to try and play that role on top of being a HBC, he ain't gonna win that battle

I’m sorta with you but I’m going to hold serve until I see what he does this off season. I think he really should go get an OC. Just to much going on for the head coach to call plays. Doesn’t work at this level. That being said I believe he’s going to have to let one of the o line coaches go right?

Even Mullen barely got by with that strategy of being the OC, and we can all agree that he’s one of the sharpest offensive minds we have had since Spurrier, although he was just a lazy recruiter and didn’t care for a Defense

People keep saying we should get an OC, but we have one. His name is Rob Sale. Could he call plays better than Napier? Who knows, but Napier's not the person to ask.

Maaaan.... Wtf we're they doing in the 3rd... I'm like run the ball, you clearly see #15 struggling, and we killing their defense. Especially after he missed that swing pass to Johnson. Stop being cute & get to what works

38 should be enough to win this game. The loss is more on Todd recruiting and our sorry defense than anything IMO.

Didn’t we see that stupid screen to Henderson that NEVER works in the 3rd quarter? It should’ve been a pick 6 for F$U if AR threw it right. I hate that play more than any we have. Makes me feel like Zook is coaching again

IMO the game was lost when we had the final possession of the first half AND were set to receive the kickoff in the second half.

Potential 14 point swing and we got three. That’s not enough cushion for a woeful defense like ours. Especially against a QB as explosive as Travis.

I also lived on Tolbert 5 and remember the Pit and the mud festival and pot smoke coming out of some dorm rooms at 7 AM.

OC in name only. This is Napiers scheme and his plays.

Napier is actually a very good run game coordinator and a bad passing game coordinator if we want to get specific.

Yep, one carry. Next carry was about 14 minutes later. One carry is not what you give your star running back, especially when he averaged 7.7 yards a carry in the first half.

Two issues. Qb accuracy on short & intermediate throws. And it's never blocked well enough to keep calling it.

I don't think completing 9 of 27 passes is ever a Rx for success.
I would really like to see a QB interacting with his team a little bit; and projecting a sense of confidence and purpose. Maybe that is unfair; but I would like to see it.
Well, we saw a great running QB last night. Unfortunately----
Finally, on a different note; I have watched UF consistently give up the edge on defense for at least two years now. That is not a pleasant.
    experience.
Officiating causes me to use bad language..
Third rate announcers give me heartburn. Thank goodness for the mute control on the tv.
Other than those few things, it was a great night/year.
