If you rush the field after beating a 6-5 team with a TE playing QB you know your program has been irrelevant for a few years....
Last time I saw a serious attempt was 1997 vs. SWAC. It didn’t go very well for those who scaled the walls. Police in Gainesville do their jobs.
Bet you more than 1/2 of those rushing onto the field don’t realize we own them overall (37-27-2). Now, we need to get to work AND beat the stuffing out of them next year in Gainesville! Go Gators!
Eh I don’t think it really does these kids can see what hand we were playing with and they see playing time too for us. The inverse it could help UF with its pitch to recruits.
Oh no doubt, especially defensively. And obviously better coaching, although Urban had to take some lumps that year.
I’ve never seen us rush the field in my 33 years of being a Gator (freshman in 1989). We won’t rush the field.
The NCAA should have a rule that if your fans storm the field after a win, that you should pay the other school 1 million dollars.
Pretty sure the last time it happened was 1984 in Jax when we shut out the Poodles. I remember that day. I was throwing a lot of doggie biscuits at them in the parking lot.
Were you part of the crew that brought the goal post back to Gainesville? We didn’t travel to away games when I was little but I remember the goal posts ending up on university avenue that year.
