when our two best players came from UL with Napier we have a personnel issue as well. I agree on an OC
Huh? He barely got to 6 wins. CBN is a good man and good coach from Sunday to Friday. He was all of next season to prove he is a good Saturday coach. This year is a barely a pass. It’s been all over the place. We are told by “wiser” folks on here to be patient and is rebuilding. Ok. I get that. Doesn’t explain what happened in Vandy. Doesn’t explain the black hole the O went into in the 3Q of this game. The announcer may have been awful but he got one thing correct at the start of the game. CBN cashed in a lot of good will with that Vandy performance/loss.
Billy either needs to relinquish playcalling duties or hire an on-field QB coach to collaborate with (a la Mullen-Johnson). He can’t be the HC, call plays and coach up the QB’s. Way too much for one person to handle during a game at the SEC level.
AR is the most overrated QB in the country, IMO. He's inconsistent with his throws, throws to guys triple covered when other guys are wide open, hands the ball off when he could keep it and run for miles around the end and generally can't handle pressure. Seems like a really nice young man, but simply doesn't have what it takes to be a winning D1 QB. I truly wish him the best and hope he declares for the NFL draft so he can disappoint a pro team with all of his "potential and natural ability".
Haha. Was it AR that forgot to call running plays the third quarter when Montrell was averaging almost 7 yards a carry in the first half. Was it Anthony’s fault that Montrell didn’t get a carry in the third quarter for the first 14 minutes. Billy’s game planning is concerning.
The offensive line played well...opened many holes and kept Verse from wreaking havoc in the backfield. Kudos to the Oline and running backs as they deserve the game ball.
My bad for paying too much attention - I just get tired of folks saying the same thing when it wasn't all that great in the first place. But please, more nuggets on how bad Vandy is? How'd was our offense and defense tonight and how does it relate to how we did against Vandy? How bad was that game we had against South Carolina and please relate it to how bad Vandy is. I'm not sure you're going to get it so let me tell you I don't give a chit.

It’s been said that if Napier doesn’t win, at least the next coach will have some good players to work with.
Norvell struck it rich in the portal: Verse Robinson Pittman Wilson Benson Dude was an A plus. Billy did ok but missed on: DL Lb Te.
Can't quite tell if you are being serious or not, but yes...Vandy is terrible. So, what happens if Richardson returns? I can't really tell where he's made much (if any) improvement this year. One minute he looks like a world beater, the next he can't complete a pass (and still appears unwilling to run, even when its the smart play). Does the right OC change that, or was Mullen right all along last season? As far as the final pass play, that's a complete head scratcher. Again. *Maybe* he thought he was going to get the facemask call, and assumed they were getting a new set of downs...but you have to at least throw it somewhat near a receiver. At least this one didn't go out of the back of the end zone.
Agree. We were predicted to be a 7-5 team this year and got false hopes after beating Utah. Napier has done a lot of the right things about hiring a team to handle recruiting, nutrition and all the behind-the-scene stuff done at the big time schools that had been lacking at Florida. But his in game coaching has really been lacking and it was evidenced in a big way with his decision to showcase AR's passing at Vanderbilt (43 passes vs. 21 runs) and his decision to come out against FSU in the 3rd quarter throwing the ball, resulting in 3 straight 3 and outs. Our defense is atrocious and Richardson is just too inconsistent to be a winner at the SEC level. There will be a lot of turnover from this year's squad to the 2023 version, but Napier needs to start delivering with on the field results or he will be gone like a cool breeze. He can't go 6-6 with losses to Kentucky, Vanderbilt and FSU next year. Even with depleted personnel, this team could have and should have won 8 or 9 games.
