Post-Game Discussion: FLORIDA at FSU

I'm not a Mullen fan, but fans should understand why AR was not playing last year after this season.

 

The AR praise in here is something else tonight.

Until the last 3:40 or so in the 4Q......his last pass completion was in the 2Q as he missed 14 straight passes. Even with that final third down before the end of the game, he just threw the pass away quick as it was hiked to him.

AR needs to go ahead and declare and left. Napier seriously needs an OC to reign in his nonsense.

 

We need BM to call passes from the QB to the 2rbs

 

Nah, that was Napier accidentally getting fed the Vandy gameplan. It wasn't until the 4th before he realized it.

 

Yes - my feeble aunt would have thrown for 300 yards tonight.

We fought back to tie it up and the D let them drive right down the field for a TD. Ugh!

 

You said it perfectly but be careful you will be banned. Why we did not come out and run the ball on first down in second down that first series is baffling… Montrell was absolutely dominating in the first half and Trevor was starting to gain his footing and really figure things out.

We were outcoached but only because we stopped doing what made us successful. I just don’t get it. Norvell only had To wait for us to stop running.

 

AR is not ready for the NFL! You have to throw it there!

 

Nah...The main problem we have is we can't tackle. Some of it is because we are so dang young, but even older guys are just taking bad angles and launching themselves. Keep your feet and wrap up!

 

He threw the ball on our LAST play where no one can catch it. He's done that for multiple games. I don't get why you think that's okay. A gamer at least puts the ball where, no matter how small, you team still has a chance. AR repeatedly does not do that.

 

Travis was a difference maker for them. Kid has come a long way since his first start.

 

Napier lost this game in the 3rd quarter with is nonsensical playcalling. Malpractice to go away from Johnson/Etienne, especially after FSU tied it up at 24.

But still, AR. It’s a miracle this was even a 7-pt game despite him missing, what, 13 passes in a row? Godspeed to the NFL team who falls for it.

 

What game where you watching, brother?! I watched the game where we came out cold in the second half because we forgot our bread and butter; AR missed a bunch of easy throws. And our defense could not keep up with Travis.

 

I hope not. I want him to give up play calling and being the qb coach. I just want him as the HC.

 

His general awareness is lacking. Take the play where FSU jumped, for example, instead of just launching it downfield on a free play in hopes of a catch/DPI, he just tucks it and gains 2. Stuff like that just can’t be coached up, it’s all mental with the player.

 

Lost to our 4 biggest rivals - UK & lowly Vanderbilt - 6-6 same record as the last crappy staff. [sigh]

 

But Vandy is so gawd awful terrible - you knew we were no good and couldn't play with FSU.

I'm so tired of hearing about the Vandy game from the same posters. Vandy isn't that bad and if you had eyes and watched the game you would know that.

 

This is the theme all year. Guys not wrapping up. The only thing more annoying is the celebrating of a tackle after giving up a first down.

 

A new OC is not going to make the qb make accurate throws.
As far as DC, let PT get some better athletes and then we can make the call on his effectiveness.
