This program is in shambles. BN is not the answer, at least not long term. We’re in for a long miserable ride.
The dud was your 55ish% comp qb going off at 9/27 should have a good pff this week no? AR did compete the entire game and put the team in position to win just like almost every loss except uga. He led the offense to enough points if the defense hadnt crapped the bed with 17 3rd Q points given up
I can think of a bunch off the top of my head. You don’t think the game is different if Douglas catches that perfect pass? Travis had the giant make the contested catch…. Our guy drops it in his bread basket. Ballgame
A lot of what ifs in this game but this game looks a lot different if Caleb Douglas holds onto that ball at the 5 on that last drive.
There was so much buzz about Richardson to start the season. He has been incredibly disappointing to say the least. After that first half tonight, I thought he had found a rhythm, only to lose it inexplicably in the third quarter. I've never seen a QB just tank like that in an instant.
OC forgot that ETN and Johnson JR were on the roster during the 3Q… Hopefully Head Coach talks to him.
Yes - horrible overthrow and then on the last play - make sure there is no chance to win by throwing an uncatchable ball to anyone in the stadium. I don't get it. He should have thrown the ball straight up in the air rather than throwing it away. I am so tired of seeing that.
The game is also different if 15 hits 87 on the play after instead of throwing it to Africa. Lot of mistakes by multiple guys.
They seemed fast yes but strong idk we had our way when we wanted to power run game. They also sure fell down a lot for being so strong. Their secondary played well but has some experience where we had nothing at WR basically.
This loss is 100% on Napier. The entire 3rd quarter was wasted by the lack of halftime adjustments and going pass heavy when we were running the ball down their throats. I am having a hard time being positive about Napier. When I saw he was all about culture, people, foundation, sustainability, etc. I thought he was at that point in his career because he had mastered the Xs and Os. Never did I imagine that his football 101 would be so lacking. Clock management, playcalling, personnel decisions, halftime adjustments, etc. are all below SEC and below UF standards at this point. That is a LOT of ground to make up and Gator fans are not a patient bunch. We can be patient if you’re showing improvement, the team jells as the season goes, the units get better and the product is better. At 6-6 he is leaving quite the turd popsicle taste in Gator fans’ mouths going into the post-season. Spurrier didn’t have the best of 1st years, but we knew what we had coming back. Urban had some bumps his first year, but we sure as heck knew the second year would be great. After 12 games I don’t know what we have with Billy Napier. He gets and A+ on everything except Football 101, Xs and Os, and on-field performance. He needs to do soul searching and decide if he wants to be a CEO or actively involved in the offense. He cannot do both successfully, at least not fast enough to avoid being fired. I’ve said from the beginning we need to give him 5 years, but he cannot linger in mediocrity for 4, promising the 5th one will be awesome. He needs to improve our on-field performance quickly, and that will be by out-sourcing the offense to a top-notch OC so he can focus on perfecting time management and CEO-ing and having a long, hard look at his friend Patrick Toney and his atrocious D. Recruiting and culture change are positives. Sub-standard Football 101 is a huge negative. After 12 games I’m clueless as to what we truly have in Billy Napier.
Yep, and we forgot to run the ball the second half… Started running the ball game in the fourth quarter have no idea why we did not run the third quarter with a 3 point lead and the numbers in the first half show that we were dominating on the ground
