Man that’s one heck of a prediction.

Will you be here in the off-season if he doesn’t hire an OC/QB coach?

Don’t think one poster has said that, but accepting losses to UT,LSU,UGa,UK,Vandy and almost USF in the same year is just a reflection of where some are in defending a guy who really doesn’t have that big of a resume.
I hope the Napier lovers are right, but so far the trend isn’t in the direction many look for.

WhenKelly took over LsU had like 43 scholarship players, not my definition of a program on solid footing.

Way different. McElwain inherited an elite Top 5 defense from Muschamp. Once they moved on, it exposed McElwain for the fake QB whisperer he is. Then Mullen comes in with McElwain's offense and wins. Mullen does well when he inherits a decent offense. But he hated recruiting. Then we fire Mullen and see what he left behind - a big pile of s%^&. Napier didn't get anyone worth their weight in salt. His 2 best players are guys he brought with him. Grantham left a defense in shambles with so many doubts, no elite DC could fix their issues. Then on offense, a depleted oline with hardly any good receivers left over because Copeland and Gamble bolted. It took Pearsall to salvage the receiving corps.

I wonder if people use the optimistic button as a negative. I can’t stand people that aren’t optimistic.

Mullen could recruit, he didn't want to. He also was capable of bringing in top assistants who could recruit and coach, once again he didn't want to. He was also capable of getting the D fixed by hiring a top DC. Once again, he didn't want to. He wanted to keep his friends and cronies on staff, and he was willing to get axed because of... a few million reasons.
Those who bring up SOS, Meyer, even Bryant... This is a different day and age, with a transfer portal and NIL. We still don't know how this is going to shake out and we have no idea how any coach from the past would have fared in these times. Win lose or draw tonight, CBN will be here at least another year or two, and we should support him going forward. No point of throwing sand in the gears.

It looks like Shane has slipped over to the dark side. Negative post after negative post snd flatly unwilling to consider the difficulties that CBN faced coming in this season. Unfortunate

He didn’t really have time to evaluate and fill all the holes. This off-season , he knows what he needs.

Accepting and undermining are two completely different things. Nobody is accepting anything.

    Undermining?
What fans have the power to undermine Napier?

Unless you’re talking about big money booster ala Mullen and Auburn nobody on these boards has any power.
Don’t lose to Vandy, don’t let USF run up and down the field, have better management of the clock and in game decisions and you don’t hear 90% of the complaints.

Many people who are criticizing now were very much behind Napier mid season

I'll disagree on this one. He went after 2 on the defensive side I believe and lost out to Miami and Bama. He had to know we needed bodies after losing Hopper, Bogle and diabate not to mention the attrition from seniors the year before. We lost a ton and brought in nothing. I'm grateful as hell we brought in torrence and Johnson but we absolutely needed bodies at LB and Dline but especially LB regardless of his limited knowledge of the team.

I'm still behind Napier but he has also earned some criticisms despite all of the great things I think he has done so far.

I have read and carefully considered your take.

Nope, he needs to burn. Sorry, but them's the breaks. Besides, I hear Mike Shanahan is interested in the job. Honest!

Well then, there's the problem. I will email him to "advise" him to keep vigil on our posts. He will learn.
