Not sure what this means. There is absolutely no evidence he is making business decisions. His reads vs Vandy were very good
Hartman is looking to transfer because his draft stock isn’t good. AR would be leaving because he’s a 1st rounder. That is about as objective as it gets
Except for a few trolls, I think we all watch the games. It's easy to be critical of a lot of things not just the QBs motivation.
We're not wishing him to leave. What we want is irrelevant. He's gone if he's guaranteed to be an early round draft pick and we understand that's the best decision for him. Now we look forward to the next QB. I'm sure we'd all like to see him return, but we know it isn't happening.
He is making the correct reads though. I mean I guess he could scramble more? But he went 25 for 42 with 7 drops. So that gives only 10 attempts where he could have scrambled. Seems incredibly nitpicky when we have a handful of spots that are underwhelming (coaching: clock, 2 min, RZ offense; talent: safety, WR, LB).
The decision-making many people are complaining about is more about multiple failed RPOs in which AR handed off to the RB when the Vandy D had already sold out on the hand off. I'm not hating on AR, but he did not adjust to how the D was reacting on the RPO and he did not seize the initiative in multiple RPO calls that might have been the difference in winning and losing. Maybe that's why the speculation that he's saving himself for the draft has gone through the roof.
Not sure of your point. I was responding to what I believe to be an unrealistic standard national championship game in 2nd at a school comment. Since SOS was such unique situation not sure how though (you either make the game or not), perhaps you can refresh my memory of exactly which individuals currently coaching (not named Kirby S) have made the national champ game in year 2
I think that's a fair expectation. Pell got us back to good pretty quickly, I think the same will happen this time. Making the next step will take a bit longer.
We have a lot of problems. aR can make more difference than any other player. I may not be able to cover all our mistakes though.
And getting beat by Vandy who averaged out 50th. Mullen did pick up some great players via the portal not shown by the rankings either. Napier elected not to do that his first year and lost other SEC starters that hasn’t helped.
His point was that you said SOS didn’t even make the NC game year 2. Nowadays it’s way easier to get to the playoff and play your way to the NC game. If we Had the system back them we do now UF likely gets to many playoffs and quite a few more NC games. Funny quite a few of the guys who made it to NC games year 1 or 2 got fired within a few years..
If you are gonna jump in mid stream at least read the original post that garnered my response you are now responding to. Do you have anything of substance to add to sentiment that decries the idea of not playing for a national championship in the 2 year marks a coach as unworthy and ripe for dismissal. Hence my point you quoted. Thanks for the education on SOS and his achievements relative to 2022
