UF doesn’t pay his bills, his clients do. He’s entitled to his opinion on a private podcast. He’s a Gator, but he doesn’t have to rep the brand 24/7.

But if he was really good….,
you can’t just listen to sound bites. That’s why we are all so misinformed in so many ares of life. Nobody really listens anymore. Listen in its entirety and it’s a total different message.

I sincerely hope he isn’t teaching anyone about public speaking or social media skills. I understand he has an emotional stake in the situation, but he needs to learn sometimes the less said until one gets past the initial raw emotion, is the best course of action. (I didn’t learn that in a classroom, rather from being married to the same partner for 52 years)
I listened to the whole interview and he did attempt to clarify his position, but people are only going to remember “ I don’t give a crap about Florida, or FSU , or Georgia”, and his closing threat to be watching to see if future situations are handled the same way.
Both can be applauded for their honesty of opinion, but the same things could have been said just as honestly without the negative connotations that were left hanging.
Whoever crafted Marcus’s response did a much better job than Denny.

The problem is Denny just glosses over AR mistakes. When Hacker asked about him AR throwing the ball into the 2nd row he just says AR knows he missed that throw. I think Denny has only said once AR had a bad game and that was against UK this year. Also Denny is quick to point out that AR threw for over 300 yards. Well UF has never won a game where AR throws for 300 yards. I don’t want AR throwing anywhere near 300 yards. It is not his game.

I don’t get it. Why does it bother you (and others) that AR’s QB trainer rarely says anything negative about AR, the client? I don’t say negative things about my clients, business partners, etc either. There’s no benefit to anyone in doing so

Does Denny have to tell his honest evaluation of each of his clients to the masses? Why? Why do we care if he pumps up his guys?

It’s Billy’s staff that has to do the true evaluation

This has been a concern of mine from the beginning. We have someone in our quarterback's ear who isn't part of the coaching staff and isn't affiliated with the UF football program whatsoever! I'm not saying he's poisoning AR against us. But if Denny is protecting his own investment, he could be telling AR to showcase his arm more. He could be telling AR that the pros see what he can do with his feet already and to just avoid getting hurt.
Conflict of interest is a definite possibility.

He does. He was saying he was too much in his head after the UK loss.

    In my head--- UF
    Never heard of him.
UF fandom seems to side with CBN (give him time, gets his players in, build a culture etc)BUT on pulling the Stokes offer fans says he is wrong?

For me it's the timing of it that made it questonable. Will CBN pull the offer if Rashada didn't flip to UF? Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. Nobody will ever know. Since I think CBN is an honorable man, I believe he did it not because he has Rashada now, but because he has zero tolérance for something like that. I believe Stokes is sincere when he apologized. Lots of young people make mistakes. He will learn from it. I was hoping CBN will give him à chance, but I also understand why CBN did it.

You’re right, it could be a conflict of interest. But highly doubtful or college coaches would be hesitant to recruit kids Denny is training.

I also think we may be stretching the scope of Denny’s services. He’s a trainer who helps his client refine specific skills of their game. He’s not AR’s agent.

I’m pretty sure each player on UF’s team can only practice with the team and team’s coaches a certain number of hours per week by NCAA rules. For some players they may feel that’s enough. But most players realize they have to put in many more hours per week working on their craft on their own time. That’s where someone like Denny comes in, and it’s fairly common. There are similar trainers for wide receivers and DBs. It’s also very common with baseball and softball pitchers.
