It’s kinda cool if the coach isn’t intending to be political. To me it’s like referring to Gainesville as the G.
They are a non-profit with income north of $60 million and a net worth north of $150 million and pay no income tax. Here we are yet another corporation that is just screwing the American people by dodging income tax!!! So yes, we the American people do in fact pay for them!!!
Lol, you think American taxpayers pay for all organizations that don't pay taxes? So does that mean the government is paying for churches (a clear violation of the establishment clause) too? Or do you only use this stretch to cover for not knowing that the national team isn't goverent operated?
Yes, you too can wear the T-shirt and do your part in destroying the United States of America. Just $19.99! Gregg Berhalter States Shirt Us Soccer Coach Shirt Nike States T-Shirt
It’s like people feel lost if they don’t have something to be upset about. There is zero political intent in this, it’s just trying to sound hip. And they have worn it for over a decade. The team, including the coach, belted out th national anthem the other day, the name is on their jerseys, no one has protested, but I guess there had to be something.
Good for you. But you’re just a nobody. We’re talking about the head coach on the international stage. You’re narcissism won’t let you see it. Yikes.
Or, could you imagine if he wasn't even an American? Like the coach for both Canada (who is English) and Mexico (who is Argentinian). It's like Antifa out there or something.
I don’t care about the supposed statement or non statement. I do prefer a coach to dress professionally and not look like he is headed out for a jog. Doesn’t have to be a blazer. Doesn’t have to be a track suit in team colors… but a nice pull over, a collared shirt, … something that says I’m a professional and take it seriously. GB looked like a dad that got lost and wandered into the sidelines…
I used that because that is the truth. But we also have some say so over all non-profits. I'm not overly outraged because he could have been in a suit and no logo, and no one would have said a word. I guess when you do wear something, as he did, it is making a statement and that is where concern comes. I didn't think it was right for the NFL players to not stand for the anthem, not the time or place. To me this is kinda the same thing. You going to represent this country on the world stage, in my opinion, you represent the whole country. The logos they changed to the rainbow colors I don't really have an issue with them, but not sure they should be used more than a single game to show support. Maybe I'm in this boat by myself, but I certainly don't think so
So you think that you should decide how churches are run then? Or just US Soccer? Yeah, he was wearing a shirt that clearly referred to the country. What a travesty! Yeah, it is never the time or the place. Nonviolent protest that makes somebody feel bad are always wrong. We get it. But this isn't even a protest. You guys just need to be mad about something.
My first thought was how cool it was...a little different and kinda retro. I love the old UF vault throwback stuff. this has that basic look I like.
