There is very little known about him at all. Trans violence from the trans community is not new. It does hurt the made up narrative that this was a right wing driven hate crime. It doesn’t change that this may well have been a hate crime committed by someone who hated himself. It may have well been a crime committed by someone that was not accepted by a community he felt would accept him. It may well be a crime committed by a man who is non binary and blames other LGTBQ people for that? Lots of possibilities here. Unless you know the guy personally or have some inside info that hasn’t been shared yet? I haven’t seen much at all about Aldrich? Who are you or me to say what he felt or was?
Details are coming to light about the alleged gunman who killed five people at an LGBTQ nightclub | CNN Here is an article about his background. Zero indication he's trans. Probably something he would have been mocked for on his fake wikipedia page - but he wasn't.
I want a link supporting your claim that most violence against LGBTQ community comes from within that community. Has nothing to do with the shooter. And I gave you a link on HIS background. Read it.
Colorado shooting suspect was living under a new identity “The news site also uncovered evidence that Mr Aldrich was subjected to an intensely homophobic online bullying campaign prior to changing his name.” Hmmmmm
While some have not been solved some do come from within the community as part of the article states These victims were killed by acquaintances, partners or strangers, some of whom have been arrested and charged, while others have yet to be identified. Some of these cases involve clear anti-transgender bias. In others, the victim’s transgender or gender non-conforming status may have put them at risk in other ways, such as forcing them into unemployment, poverty, homelessness and/or survival sex work. Fatal Violence Against the Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Community in 2022
I did. And I gave you a link saying he was bullied on line for his homosexuality as a kid.. And I said I think I read that stat about violence. It may not be true,it may. It’s been several years ago. My whole point is some of you are dismissing the possibility that Aldrich might identify as non binary without any proof or reason too. It doesn’t make him innocent. It doesn’t change any of the narrative except makes it make air safer. Why are y’all so quick to dismiss it?
Of course it would follow that some trans on trans violence is inevitable given these people share a community with one another. I'm not disputing that. I'm disputing the contention that MOST violence against trans people is committed by trans people.
I don’t think you understand republicans and I think you missed the point of Beauty and the Beast. 0-2.
Sorry So his name isn’t non binary enough for you? That’s what you are basing your assumptions on his supposed sexuality? Now that I have given you background of him being bullied for his homosexuality you are going to claim the name isn’t non binary enough? Why Why are you so dogmatic that HECANTBE NON-BINARY? Why does that bother you so much? It doesn’t change anything. He is still guilty. Stilll abused as a kid. Still bullied. Red flag were still ignored/by passed .what difference does his sexuality make to you?
Well, there is the suggestion that if he’s a non-binary they/them then he didn’t set out to exterminate LGBTQRamaLamaDingDongetc. because he was a MAGA Republican. Just a hunch though.
It matters because its gives right wingers who espouse anti-trans rhetoric a clear conscience when they should have anything but. IMO, this dipshit is likely using this as a feeble attempt to avoid hate crime status which would make it a federal charge and would put the death penalty on the table. There is a reason we are hearing this from his defense attorney with absolutely zero previous indication that he's trans/non-binary.
